Deep yellow. This is framed by bizarre, tropical oakiness, almost imparting coconut scents-yikes! Not exactly what I expect or desire when I stick my nose into a glass of Chablis. It never entirely lets go and gives an all too woody feel. Too bad since behind all the lumber is tart orange peel, excellent acidity, and some more typical iodine.
Less exotic the next night, but all of that wood is still pretty intrusive.

Full yellow. Musky orange and then green flowers. Pretty broad attack with moderately full feel and a touch of wood. Lively and fresh. Much leaner on the back end with fruit more on the lime/grapefruit end of the spectrum, wonderful acidity, some Chablis brothiness, and clay infused minerality. I was skeptical of the aging potential of this wine but was very impressed. Excellent bottle with some time left despite its color.

Fantastic. Restrained yellow and white fruit, hints of saline, honeycomb, and seashell. Well-balanced. This is holding back a bit, a tease of sorts. Probably the most enjoyable bottle from Piuze I've had to date. This may gain some complexity with some bottle age, but such a good drink today. Consumed over two days, consistent notes.

Bright light yellow. Ripe lemon, fragrant orange blossom and some iodine. Rich, sweet fruit entry, medium weight with noticeable wood, nice brothy essence in mid-palate and good stony finish. Very drinkable now since it has nice feel and the acidity is not fearsome, in fact could be just a bit more crisp (but then again, I am always looking for more acidity). Excellent Premier Cru with judicious use of oak that preserves its Chablis character.

Held up well alongside the Raveneau. Nose is funkier, palate slightly more oaky, rounder. Bit more obvious weight. Very fine acidity. Seems youthful.

Wow, wild. Creamy Crisco-laced fruit palate. Not getting nutty, but a nice snappy maturity.

Nutty and savory on the nose. Savory on the palate and tight and clean.

Medium color. Medium weight, good texture. Mostly citrus, some vanilla oak, and then after a few minutes, it proved to be corked.

Fairly plump for Chablis. Might improve. Like. Don't love.

Slightly advanced, but still enjoyable. Have had a lot of prematurely oxidized wines from Piuze.

Worryingly advanced. Salty honey, nuts and a little sherry. Hope this is an aberration. Not rated.
