Deep yellow. This is framed by bizarre, tropical oakiness, almost imparting coconut scents-yikes! Not exactly what I expect or desire when I stick my nose into a glass of Chablis. It never entirely lets go and gives an all too woody feel. Too bad since behind all the lumber is tart orange peel, excellent acidity, and some more typical iodine.
Less exotic the next night, but all of that wood is still pretty intrusive.

Full yellow. Musky orange and then green flowers. Pretty broad attack with moderately full feel and a touch of wood. Lively and fresh. Much leaner on the back end with fruit more on the lime/grapefruit end of the spectrum, wonderful acidity, some Chablis brothiness, and clay infused minerality. I was skeptical of the aging potential of this wine but was very impressed. Excellent bottle with some time left despite its color.

Held up well alongside the Raveneau. Nose is funkier, palate slightly more oaky, rounder. Bit more obvious weight. Very fine acidity. Seems youthful.

Wow, wild. Creamy Crisco-laced fruit palate. Not getting nutty, but a nice snappy maturity.

Nutty and savory on the nose. Savory on the palate and tight and clean.
