Super fresh and not a bit advanced. Not detailed notes but this was a stunning wine and very classic Chablis with saline/minerality in spades. On its way up to the summit, but doubt this wine will plateau anytime soon.

Advanced. Yellow fruit, some saline, butterscotch hints. Better at colder temperature. A nice drink but missing cut, mineral, grip, and tension. Consumed over about two hours or so. If this is a typical bottle, I'd drink up. I'll decant the next bottle for a few hours. First of four bottles.

Highly aromatic nose of white grapefruit, lime peel and freshly crushed rocks. Pretty floral notes too. The same flavors come through onto the palate. Great energy and tension. A moderate, mineral based finish with a great burst of acidity.

Maybe this bottle was off, but my experience could not be more different from that of other notes here. Very Chardonnay-ish, but very little Chablis or Montée de Tonnerre here. I found decent freshness, but a certain lack of energy.

Now this one is loud enough to upset the neighbours, particularly if they like Chablis that is discreet and only whispers iodine. The fruit is rambunctious, even boisterous but it has levels of chalk, oyster shell and a whip of grapefruit acidity to keep everything in balance. It is rich and textured with ripe orchard fruits, honey and butter and a sprinkling of salt. Length of flavour is admirable.

Piuze and Pacalet (Arlequin Wine Merchant, San Francisco): Excellent balance between brine and ripe fruit. Excellent feel. Green tones, good acidity.
