This wine honestly smells like the citrus hops of an IPA along with some red fruit underneath. I cracked open a beer just to smell the two side by side to confirm. Very intriguing. The palate is full of minerals, red raspberries, a touch of earth and again the hops. Med+ acid, light tannins, medium finish. Very interesting wine, well worth a try.

Beautiful nose of red fruit and flowers. Good acidity with little to no tannins - light red cherry on the mid palate and a nice, smooth finish. Would be a great summer wine to sip on by the pool, slightly chilled.

I had recently acquired this wine, and subsequently had the opportunity to go to an Italian winemaker tasting that included the young Arianna Occhipinti, whom I was under the impression had been the winemaker of this wine. I was mistaken. And while I loved her fine Sicilan wines, I have no love for this one from Latium. The nose is downright weird, but being a new grape or me that was sort of okay. If it tasted good. Which it did not.
This really is one of the strangest aromas I've experienced in wine, and I do not really have any real world correlates. Nor did my wife. I suppose it makes me think if you plopped strawberry yogurt on a new vinyl floor and covered it with lacquer and artificial flowers. I assumed this would evolve over time. Well, in 28 hours it has not changed a bit. The palate does not redeem this wine in the least for me (much less for TW). Medium+ body, feels like it should be frizzante red. It tastes more like it should be made from those decorative plastic grapes than something off a vine.
Of course, YMMV, and Galloni liked it, but I'd suggest if you see an Occhipinti, stick with Arianna's excellent Sicilian wines.

Purely delicious (and not much else), kind of like drinking a dry brachetto: wildly flora, a vibrant mouthful of crushed raspberries, with a kind of pleasantly slutty element to the fruit. This is the oenological equivalent of a one-night-stand: so much fun for one night, not sure I'd do it again, but very glad I had the experience nonetheless.

Crunchy, earthy and rustic. Very Italian tasting. Would be nice to pair with cheese and prosciutto.

Creat interest on nose; Nose has elements of an Abe Schoener wine; Palatte has slightly chewy red fruit and strawberry
