(Disgorged in 1998, 45% Pinot Noir, 5% Meunier and 55% Chardonnay) Lovely golden yellow colour still with lots of bubbles left with a mature nose showing lime flowers, minerals and roasted coffee and butterscotch in a delicious way. Lovely smoothness on the palate filled with creamy notes and some red apples acidity with lots of raspberry minerals on the intense finish, leaving a lovely saltiness on the lips. So delicious and with lots of energy left to keep it going for years to come! (Best 2010-2030)

Auction bottle, tried my luck. Bubbles almost gone, so drank more like a Frizzante than Champagne and reminded me of a Dom Perignon from the early 80ies. The aromas were to die for though. Not oxidative but beautiful nose of honey, caranellized sugar, pear, and a touch of nuts, dried herbs de provence, ginger. Wonderful. 96+

Slightly muted on the nose but Manuka honey. Deeply flavoured ripe creamy yellow grapefruits, autumnal apples, mandarin fruits and pears with fresh waffles

1990 Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque vintage champagne. Drink these up if you've got them. Modest, tiny bubbles. Yeasty palate; a bit maderized? OK, but definitely a bit over the hill. RF86.

Medium gold color with no mouse and very few bubbles. Reticent nose of dough and yeast and the same on the palate. No noticible fruit nor any secondary or tertiary flavors. A bit disappointing, considering the cost and how long I owned it. I think it is a little past prime. even so, I expected a better showing. This was from a mag so I would assume the 750 are farther down the slope.

Light yellow. Soft and seamless. Good, round and full of character, although ultimately lacking in concentration and profile. Almost as if all the style and panache is there, but not the fruit to back it up. Medium finish.

1990 Dinner Hosted by Cedric Nicaise at Eleven Madison Park (Eleven Madison Park): Bread yeast flavor profile. Great acidity and very alive at age 29. Drinking beautifully today.

Expressive, lemon flower, creamy yeast, still with vivacity. Only the slightest oxidized note. A beautiful bottle.

Bring Your Special Bottle Night (Crown Wine Cellars, Hong Kong): Served in magnum. Fine champagne. Light/medium gold. Tiny subtle bubbles. Floral and a bit sweet. Finish was shorter than expected.

Wonderful mouth full of toast and yeast. Opens up with a hint of apricot. Bubbles are there but very subtle.

Light yellow gold, fine mousse. Nice, if slightly restrained nose. Biscuit and yeasty brioche notes on the palate, but lacking in concentration.
