Only just having my first of two of these. It's drinking well, certainly integrated and a bit plush and modern, but with a little sangio tartness that's keeping things in check and interesting. Fairly opaque with garnet to ruby at the very edges. Smells like dark fruits, mushrooms, chalk, and graphite. Medium body, acid, and finish, with flavors of dark fruits, lemon, orange, minerals, and spice. It's a nicely balanced SuperTuscan. Drink 'em if you got 'em!

Full body with aging, lots of dark fruits and toast, some mild funk on opening and in the nose that blows away quickly. Rich tasting, mid level acidity and some intensity on the finish. Hardly noticeable tannin. Smoother/softer on day two. Enjoyable with or without food. Great with hard cheese. Suggest decanting for 30 mins to an hour.

Markedly improved from my last tasting almost 5 years ago. This has tons of fruit and moderate tannins. Shows coffee and tar on the palate along with black fruit. Can certainly go longer, but it's in a good place right now. Drink now-2020.

Bien bon, belle longueur. Assez complexe, belle bouche ronde et bon fruité. Carafe à aider un peu, un petit 30 minutes ne nuit pas. RQP ***1/2 (compte tenu du prix relativement élevé) À boire d'ici 2019 maximum (pas de grand bénéfice à le garder beaucoup plus longtemps selon moi).

Needed an hour to open. Blend of Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Some earthy notes with nice dark fruit medium acidity and tannins. Could improve slightly with a year or two. Was great with pancetta pasta.

Opague. Decanted for 1 hour. Strong primary nose of blackcurrant, black cherries, blueberries and oak spices. The palate is full-bodied, entering with primary layers of dark fruit coating your mouth and persisting through the midpalate ending in spices and firm grippy tannins. The nose and mouthfeel is very dominated by the Cabernet, and the Sangiovese only makes its presence known by typical high acidity which kicks in on the midpalate. The Merlot softens the overall feel of this wine and makes it approachable now. Not overoaked, but lacking in variatal character and tuscan terroir. Well made and enjoyable now, but will hold for a long time. I do think that this wines best attributes is its youthfull hedonistic fruit profile, so i would drink it up over the next five years. Very good. 55+11+17+7

The 2009 brings notes of fresh dark cherries and blackberry backed by mineral and smoke. This has a firm well-structured body and smooth texture with good traction on the finish. 34% Merlot, 33% Sangiovese, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon. (Drink 2012-2020) - June, 2012. (JD)
