Decent but not great macon lugny chardonnay. Hints of lemon cream and little minerality, medium acidity and short to medium finish. Not bad for the price but nothing special either.

Shiny gold. Light melon and floral aromas. Citrus, stone/mineral palate, with just a slight trace of viscosity and short grapefruit finish. Medium body and acid. Good QPR.

Very little nose, drier style with decent minerality and acidity on the palate, more like a chablis. Great with fish but even when gassed deteriorated rapidly on the second day.

This is not your big California Chardonnay but a more nuanced and delicate wine. This wine sees no oak and is dominated by peach and grapefruit flavors. Touches of herb and mineral add depth to the finish. Very balanced and easy drinking wine.

A disappointment. Not sure if the bottle was stored well by the store. Fruit and acid but alcohol taste and very unbalanced. Other 2010 Macons have been very good.

Wine Reviews: Chardonnay: SRP: $15. While not terribly aromatic, the wine is marked by subtle green apple and melon, and just a hint of minerality. The palate is very simple (this wine clearly hasn’t seen oak), but also very enjoyable.

Great value Chardonnay, all stainless fermented. Light gold color with a green tinge. Expressive nose of honey, melon, green apple, wet stone. Good mouthfeel, weight, almost lush. Green apple, citrus. Nice mouth watering acidity at finish. If you have only experienced California oaky butter bombs, and want to try something different, and a great bargain, grab a bottle or 3.

In our continuing search for a week day Chardonnay for an aperitif and also with food, we tried this one. We liked it a lot.

Crisp, with lemon flavor. Better as a summer wine.

Modest flinty nose with creamy middle. Touch of melon on finish, with a touch of citrus.
