Wow, is this wine ever fantastically interesting. If only it was equally delicious as it was interesting. The color is quite orange, like a rose of Pinot Gris. The aromas begin very funky, like a wet cork, but if this is allowed to rest in the glass for an hour or so this note completely dissipates. What you're left with is quite pretty floral, pollen notes, the skin of a pumpkin, and some not very sweet orange marmalade. Actually, the aromas after a few hours open are quite lovely. The palate is rich and thick, nearly oily, with moderate acidity, more undersweet orange marmalade, light minerality, and a dusty squash. Finish shows a bit more funky squash than elsewhere, coating acid and a mouth left a bit unsatisfied after the lovely aroma and palate. I wish this followed through to the end because it's quite enticing initially. I still found the wine very interesting which caused me to drink it rather continuously for hours.

Too bad, corked plus some kind of funk going on too. I really enjoyed my other bottles. Inventory says I have one left and I would recommend checking other bottles to look for a musty funk.

Oily & floral, sure, but fruity too: to me, the fruit was in the mango/peach pit fruit spectrum, not citrus. And for all the body and the lush nose, quite dry. Not very acidic, which I thought would be a shortcoming, but this actually was pretty good accompanying a wide variety of dinners on three nights, including but not at all limited to spicy Indian takeout. Pretty good, on balance, and still drinking well though I wouldn't hold it too much longer.

Wonderfully interesting without the oxidation and unusual flavors I sometimes find in Garagiste specials. I really like it. Muscat golden orange in color with strong aromatics of oily flowers. I get the comparisons to muscat, plenty of orange mamalede in this. Dry, with plenty of acidity and flowered, fig notes.

Beautiful color, à la Sauternes. Medium to full body. Smells like an Orange Muscat and has the body of a dry, overoaked Alsacian Gewurztraminer (but with much less complexity, if any), with low acidity and a spicy finish with notes of cloves and lemon rind. Paired very well with a tofu (non-meat) Korean chap jae with dry chili flakes; would probably pair well with Korean pancakes too, but stay away from kimchi, or from anything else that's high in acidity. Despite what the label says, the flavors come out best at room temperature (so at 65+º F, not 60º F/15º C). 13% ABV. 86+

Brownish gold. Spicy nose of cloves. Smooth, rounded mouthfeel with not much mid palate and a short finish. Lacks acidity. Mildly spicy. Ei did not like. Interesting, particularly aromatically, but in the end not all that great.

Musty. Oxidized? Weird.

Paired nicely with Hara Bharat Kabab (spinach and cottage cheese appetizer) at our Indian night out.

Very deep yellow, reticent aromas, complex and unfamiliar flavors. Welcomed the chance to try a dry wine from this grape.

Floral but boring. Really not much of a wine. Would not buy again.

Unique. dry. Deep golden color, and flavors of dry orange marmalade, fig, sultanas.
