Much nicer than my most recent bottle, this one took a while to open up but once it did it gained legs, grew in size and really began to stand up and sing. Nice solid fruit, a little noticeable wood, spice, acid. Big surprise and glad I saved a bottle!

Beginning to fade, a little plum and jam starting to show through. Certainly drinkable but not showing any thing special for the future. Much better several years ago when I drank the bulk of my case.

Reddish brown in color and beginning to show its age. Nice nose, although not very strong. The wine was over acidic for my tastes, considering that it did not have the fruit to balance it out. There were hints of barnyard and earth, but not enough to balance the acidity. Not very delicious, but well made and balanced. I had it with food, but it still didn't help much.

Mature Rioja from a good year. Still holding up well, medium/light weight, varietally correct. Nice drinker.

Nose is dominated by american oak tastes, lacks fruit. Ppalate shows quite nice attack and length.

Good nose with a touch of barnyard. Aged 2 years in oak and 1 in bottle. Medium/full bodied. Spicy pepper taste mixed with dark fruit. 87-88.
