I love it! 'Basic' Burgundy from a great producer and a great vintage. It has sweetness, depth, acidity and... It has something rough. Not too polished and that's what I like: Identity.

Still withdrawn on the nose and palate. Green tones. Actually it's not very nice at this stage of it's life. Green and sour. With some air it is there... Somewhere deep and far away in the glass. Keep it for five years or so. Maybe it will help to come to life.

Takes a little white to shake off its tightness, but what a pretty young wine when it does. Black cherry and floral notes, a little hint of mocha, enough structure than it should age nicely on the short-mid term, but tasty now. B++

Not that expressive on the nose yet. Balance. Nice acidity. Rich and fresh palate. Very digestable. But... way too young too drink now. Hold it for some years.

This was not close to being fully open (even after a few hours in the decanter), but it had a beautiful, clear ruby color, and was giving up hints of crisp red fruit and soil. Tangy, smooth tannin, mid-weight. Quite elegant for the level. I like the Bachelets' generally traditional approach. I plan to revisit in a few years (or more).

Another horrid showing. Dead ringer for 04 Red Burgundy. Thin, weedy, overly acidic with sparse fruit - and a mirepoix/saline element that SCREAMS. 2004. Gross. Glad I only bought 3 bottles. The only 2010 I haven't liked, and I love the vintage. Update - stashed bottle in the refrigerator for a couple nights and the mirepoix nasties subsided for the most part - though still slightly present. Much better and drinkable, I'll maybe open my final bottle either in 5+ years to see if it balances out or decant it for hours in advance.

I don't really understand the talk of any odd or stemmy character. I'm almost sure that there's no stem inclusion at all here as Bachelet pretty much always destems and I don't see any signs of such. To me, this is a very nice Bourgogne rouge. Aromatically, this is a beauty. Fresh dark berries, cherries, violets and earthy tones. Additionally, on the palate there's definitely a bit of tar and liquorice to be found. Nicely structured with a good acidity. For my tastes, this is oh so much better than many a village level Gevrey!

Agree with the note regarding the odd nose. Stemmy and asparagus. There's some cherry fruit below that but tough to get at. Asparagus on the palate, too. Tart and acidic - let these sit to flesh out.

Great domain which makes perhaps the finest Charmes-Chambertin. Today we’re drinking the regional Burgundy. Explosive beautiful mature nose fur such a young wine, aromas of ripe plums, mushrooms and earth. On the palate fine forward acidity, earth, mushrooms and dark cherries, although; less concentration. The finish is on the short side. Overall this is a good but not great for its level. I prefer at this level the 2009’s overal more concentration, power and beautiful fruit expressions.

First smell was very strange. Must have been the stems. This bottle funk blew off after a bit. Nice sweet berries, a dollop of oak and a very tart acid profile. A Bourgogne in need of a few years. Fine now for Acid heads, but I think after a couple years of mellowing, a tasty Bourgogne.

Showing some tertiaire tones on the nose. Nice palate with ripe fruit. Some sharpness. Not very complex. Long, tasty finish.

Lovely Burgundy, directly drinking well after opening. Clean red fruit, great mouthfeel, suave, a bit of the typical Bachelet floral tones. Drink now.

If it wasn't for the bit of TCA on top, this would be a nice Bourgogne, as it had very nice fruit, good balance, and a silky, elegant mouthfeel.

Terrible. Sit on these for at least 10 years. Don't bother opening one. Trust me.
