Luxurious on the nose and the palate. Smooth, big dark fruit with a hint of smoke with well-integrated tannins and a long dry finish. Super-satisfying.

Decanted. Dark meaty aromas present with medium-plus intensity. Scents of campfire, tar and creosote, game meats, juniper, violets, and mushroom with fruit aromas of black plum and wild blackberry with ancillary notes of earth, espresso, black olive and pepper. On the palate still bright with with acidity bringing a level of freshness to the darker sauvage flavors of smoke, char grilled game meat, ash, tar, wild herbs, plum, dark forrest berries, earth, sous bios, old wood with hints of pepper, juniper and olive. The finish is unending, and pushes on for minutes with level of power and masculinity.
Overall balanced, long and sauvage. In its prime now.

Muted nose, a little hot on the palate, low-medium acid, mild tannins. Deep red berries and dusty fruit, cedar, hint of cola. Santa Barbara pinot noir + Sonoma zinfandel = this wine. Medium length finish. Very pleasant with barbeque.

I really enjoyed this. it was very nice and smooth. went well with my spaghetti carbanara. and was great all by its lonesome. it needed a little time to get some air after that i was very nice.

This wine is so good. I should have saved this for later, but we drank it tonight. It has everything one should want in a wine: balence, fruit, wood, acid, alcohol, etc.

better than I remember at the winery. Not an alcoholic mess. Good fruit, nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable enough to recommend. It's got a number of years left.

Dark red, clear and bright. Aroma of violets, cherry and brick. Taste of red berry, plum and vanilla with a warming alcohol presence. Finishes with a note of smoke. Medium finish.

Dark brick red color with a watery rim. Medium viscosity and clear with no sediment. day bright reflections. Smokey campfire aromas including tar and creosote, ash, wood, plum, wild blackberry, juniper, game meat and burnt sugar. Bold and funky. The palate continues the story with smokey flavors of dark wild berries, dark cherry, dark caramel, plum sauce, herbs de provence, black licorice and wood. tannins and acid are both moderate but balanced. the finish drives on for minuets. Not my personal style but wow, does this wine have personality

Slight brick in appearance...Wonderful dark fruits, perfectly balanced, lots of cherry/black cherry cola throughout...some cedar and slight carmel too, truly a luscious wine Another cypher winner...complex, full of character...cypher reds are quickly becoming my winter weekend drinking pals....

Very similar to the 2008 when it was still under the Four Vines moniker. That wine was remarkable and so is this one. Delicious and chewy dark fruits couple with brighter red ones to form an attack that is rich yet lively. The perfect amount of acidity keeps everything fresh. The finish comes on with more dark fruit and tapers into lovely cedar. Overall there is a beguiling, smoldering quality that is fantastic.

This was very smooth nice with my steak and by it self. As I continued to drink it it became more complex I am not smart enough to explain all I hot from this wine. So I'll just say if you can get it it's a good to great one

Great nose, absolutely gorgeous aromas of baking spice and cherry. Lighter body with the finish ending rather abruptly.

I like this wine... but it is very young. Have to give it some time to develop.
