  • Similar notes to SABRAGE. I get the cedar on the nose, no fruit. Dark cranberry and graphite on the pallet. Medium body with a fast slightly dry and spicy finish. Hard to score since it is so different to what I have been drinking lately, good overall. (decanted for 2 hours)

  • PnP. Deep Ruby/Purple color. Fast legs. Smells of Cedar and Cassis. Tastes of Blackberry with some Cherry and Cedar. Nice balance. A tad jammy. Soft texture. Medium finish. Good table wine. OK QPR, but still a few dollars high. 14.6% ABV.

  • One dimensional (suprising with the six varietal blend)... no critical flaw, but nothing noteworthy, either. Fruit was not very expressive on the nose or palate. Some tannins that could be better integrated (OK... maybe a little spoiled by a fine cab the night before...). OK, considering a $14 price.

  • Good table wine. Well-balanced. Not a lot of alcohol or tannins. A little bitterness. Cherries, maybe.

  • Wine was enjoyed from the boss' cellar. Uncorked to a light to medium stain on the cork with zero cork bleed. Initially passed through a Vinturi as the boss is anti-acid in the wine but loves a dry finish. Very dark, almost purple. 44 Merlot, 34 Cab Sauv, 14 Cab Franc, 3 Petite Verdot, 3 Malbec, 2 Syrah offering started with some lighter fruits, but quickly turned darker. Initial offering was dark red cherries, leather, smoke. The front of the wine went VERY WELL with cherries that were enjoyed while consuming the wine. The middle of the bottle turned darker to a blackberry and cassis with some earth and spice. The finish was spicy and even a bit alcoholic, drying smoothly. This is a full bodied, medium dry red wine - in another 1-2 years it will probably dry quite a bit more and interlace a bit more. This is a more simplistic wine, probably better to enjoy with food (cherries at a minimum) although it can easily stand alone. Just a note - I don't think this one needs much decanting - for those who like more of a FRUIT profile, drink it quick - because the darker profile of this wine will start showing early after 30 minutes of air. So, give the top of the bottle immediately to your wine novices, and serve the bottom half after 30 minutes to your guests with more discriminating tastes.
