Cellared in a Eurocave, and waited too long. Hints of the fruit that was there 1-2 years ago but it was masked by a bitter tone throughout. Drink up in my opinion.

It keeps getting better. This is very much a Bordeaux style blend. Very smooth an silky after sitting open two hours before a dinner of Chicken Marengo. Subtle red fruit flavors that become tastes of cherry and raspberry. The Petit Verdot in the blend gives the wine a hint spoof pleasant earthiness. There is a nice medium long after taste that makes one want more.

Virginia's Finest...? (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): After a ton of crummy Virginia reds, this one was actually good. Sweet cherries and leather on the nose. Plummy on the palate with smooth tannins, some sweet and savory aspects. Almost Napa-cab like.

Great example of a Virginia Bordeaux blend. Perfect with Flat Iron steak and roasted potatoes.
