Sunken cork (about 1/4 inch). Opened 30 minutes in advance and double decanted (due to difficulties extracting the cork). Shy aromas of lichee and apricot. Rich spicy apricot and honey flavors. Butterscotch finish.
When first opened I thought this was DOA (the sunken cork had me expecting it). However, with air the wine blossomed. A bit tired, but with a good backbone (by Viognier standards), some complexity, interesting and mutable flavors, and good staying power. Probably past its peak and definitely time to drink up, but still doing fine.

I loved this wine, which had a delicate flowery bouquet and a rich oily texture. This wine was not strongly fruit oriented, but had more of a nuts and mineral emphasis. My wife was not very fond of, so I drank it over several days and it lasted very well.

Exquisite, lush, rich but not buttery. Initially overwhelming flavor of pineapple, which became much more complex as the bottle opened and warmed, taking on layers of vanilla, citrus and a little honeydew melon.

Seattle Tasting Group does Northern Rhône (Bellevue, WA, USA): A very faint nose and seemingly to my palate a very different beast from some of the other wines. Rather than having the exotic tropical fruit of a Viognier, it was more spicy and peppery with a dry, mineral edge. This has a long, clean finish. I liked this and came in a half point below the group average of 88.5.

Very nice with elegance you don't find so much in other Condrieus.
