Better than the previous bottle, but still not particularly good. Tannins, totally resolved, lots of acid, but there's enough midpalate substance to make it a pleasant enough quaff with food. Drink up.

Smells like what it is, old Loire CF, with a lot of minty funk and some purple Cabernet fruit. Drinkable but past prime, decent weight upfront but the fruit is fading and this is turning tart. Probably better 5-10 years ago.

thin clean pure typical cab fran flavors. Rather than tired, I think that this is the style of this wine. Quite fresh, the texture could have been mistaken for a beaujolais. Pair with vegetables, does not have the stuffing to handle much else. A delight.

A lovely little Chinon that's showing quite nicely at 15. Deep Bordeaux red, clear rim; gravelly, limestone soil notes around a core of bing cherry fruit. Hints of leather, meat, cedar, tobacco and eucalyptus. Still quite structured with gripping tannins and bracing acidity.

Brown Bag Wine Dinner at Two Chefs - Double Blind (TWO CHEFS, MIAMI, FL): The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. It smells like cherry, strawberry, eucalyptus and tobacco. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. Al's Red.

Classic Chinon, a little clammy and chalky, good but not great.
