Very dark magenta with ruby highlights. Spice, earth, and cherry cola nose. Medium to full bodied, blueberries, bing cherries, thick tannins, chocolate, smoke, and a medium to long finish. Tasty and well made. Best on day 2.

All wrapped up in a complete package, this QPR Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre blend packs a nice punch. Even more lovely with another year in bottle. I only wish I had more!

Nice nose of cocoa, cherries spice. Flavors carry through to palate, which is medium to light. Not overly complex or weighty wine but a very good drinker. Drink or hold.

Blueberry, raspberry and chocolate on the nose. Flavors of raspberry, strawberry jam, blackberry, espresso, bitter dark chocolate, pepper, charcoal and stone. Grippy tannins seemed to indicate it's got a lot of life left in it. It was good right off the bat, but improved considerably when aerated and after the bottle had been open for a couple of hours.

Took an hour or so to open fully. Great nose, blackberries, cranberries and ash. Smells great. Really nice red and dark fruit early, turning tart in the transition into the finish. Low-medium weight despite the higher alcohol content. Some earthy/stony flavors show in the finish, reminding me of blacktop. Nice wine, great complexity and build at this price point.
This Southern Rhone inspired wine shows pleasant round cherry, dried cranberry, figs, raisins and slate fragrances. Somewhat smokey and briney flavors collide with dried fruits, tree bark, sour cherry, dark chocolate and cement minerality. A slight bit of heat improved with air time as well as drying tannins. Not overly complex, but an effortless drinking wine.
Probably not a fair chance for the wine as it was tasted next to a gigondas. Pretty ripe fruit, graphite, chalk, hay, loam and a touch of oak. Big on the palate with some heat on the finish. More anise and spices came on day 2 but the heat was still a little too noticeable. Better on it's own that with food unfortunately.

Yakima Valley Maiden Voyage Tasting Tour!; 11/14/2012-11/18/2012 (Yakima Valley AVA, Naches Heights, Snipes, Horse Heaven Hills, Red Mountain, Rattlesnake AVAs): Smoked cherry, raisins and brier aromas. Flavors in the same realm with additional brightness of fruit, cranberry and mineral notes. Soft and well balanced. Excellent QPR
