Most of this was drunk on day 2 and it showed great with and without food. Has an earthy component, but not dirty, gritty, overly tannic or closed down.

Still very tight. A couple more years in the bottle will benefit this wine. However, it is quite nice with adequate decanting. Loads of dark fruit, earth, graphite, and a hint of fresh herbs. Long legs, silky in the mouth. I'd say to sit on this til 2014 or later. I'm hoping to come across more in the future.

Very musty and earthy right out of bottle. Needs air Time but could not wait as the wife had food on the plate. Put some through the aerator and it was smoother with some fruit flavor but still just good not great. What remained in the bottle after eating was much better with much more depth and very long luscious finish. Still very musty and earthy. This is old world Pinot not for the fresh fruity lovers.

Wine Blogger's Conference 2012- Oregon Wines; 8/15/2012-8/18/2012 (Portland, OR): Dense ruby color. Red cherry, fig, mushroom and tree bark on the nose. Savory white pepper, earth, plum and cherry on the palate. Firm acid and rich fine tannin with a full finish. Beautifully complex, already open for business, and with the stuffing and depth for aging.

Drank this recent release to decide how many of these to buy. It's clearly too young, but it seems that rumors of the quality of the 2010 vintage may true. Will order more to cellar.

Lovely fruit in both nose and mouthfeel. Still vibrant throughout, but was it $60 bucks worth?

Intoxicating floral and spiced nose with a silken dark cherry mouth and medium finish. Very well made.

No decant. Good stuff. I like Penner-Ash wines.
