Gobs of blackberry fruit and lots of oak spice on a balanced frame. Silky texture and more black fruit on a medium long finish. Tasty, although a bit too oaky for my preference. Drink now/soon.

Same as before. Still very California style, a bit sweet, roses and sweet vanilla, sweet raspberry, heavy oak, heavy extraction. Very enjoyable for what it is, if this is your style pinot I'm sure it will be loved.

Another great bottle of the Hilliard Bruce. This has that great Santa Rita Hills fruit, but with more subtlety, complexity, and balance than some other Pinots from the area.

One of my favorite small production Santa Rita Hills Pinot producers. Super rich, dark California style but highly extracted and wonderful earth, leather & tobacco flavors amidst seductive cherry fruit. Tons of layering of flavors with a super long lasting finish. The nose is intoxicating.
This is right up there with Foxen and Loring Pinots also from Santa Rita Hills. wonderful, exceptional California Central Coast Pinot Noir. Do not pop and pour this wine, let it open up for a minimum of two hours and you will be rewarded.

2013 Family Winemakers of CA, San Diego Tasting: From Magnum. Excellent wine. Red fruit/cherry with touch of spice. Lots of fruit but nicely balanced. Nicely done. Think this can improve as well. 91+.

Very disappointing for the price. Took a while to be sure it was pinot juice. Not bad wine; just indistinguishable. For $20 I would be fine. Will not buy this again.

Another great bottle, maybe even a bit better than the previous one. Layers of bright red fruit, with an elegant, silky, texture. Enough acidity to provide balance and structure.

Decanted for about 2 hours before consuming. Dark red, well darker than most pinots. A little barnyard on the nose. Nice cherry/raspberry on the tongue and a pleasant dry bite on the finish. I might get some more.

Has some of that good Sta. Rita red fruit, but not over extracted. Has a certain sleek feel to it. Some earthy, herbal, notes, but again not overpowering.

- Violet color with fast forming legs and aromas of raspberry, blackberry and violet. It's in total harmony and has flavours of raspberry and blackberry with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a long finish - Thanks John and Chrisitine. Gallioni is right the 2010 Sun is the best yet.

It's in a great spot right now. Marshmallowy cherry chocolate cola goodness. This is Santa Rita? Wow

Tart cherry with nice spice notes. One of my favorite SRH pinots behind Sea Smoke.

Roses, big tannins for pinot, medium plus acid, the most Californian in style of all their wines.

Tasted this at Pinot Days in NYC. This had an unusual taste that I couldn't put my finger on. At $55, I thought it was expensive.

Deep, saturated garnet red in the glass. Nose of red fruits and a hint of spice. Supple and lively on the palate.
