Color: Dark ruby red Nose: Leather and spice, raspberry Palate: Dark fruit, jam, with a nice long finish A little higher alcohol on the palate. Also drinks younger than one would expect at 10 years out.

PNP. Garnet w slightly purplish edge. Cork perfect. Nose with dark fruit and hints of oak and a hint of brine. Swishing shows high tone and alcohol and wood spice on the finish. Sipping gives glycerin laden fruit and a medium finish. Good.

This is a beautiful Barbera. Not a big nose...it smells like wine, but take a sip and...HEL-lo! Dark berries, maybe some cranberry, more berries. This is one of those wines that its good when you first open, then in about 15 minutes, you think, my this is a good wine...then 15 minutes later you call the winery to order a case. Yup. Liking this one...and the finish, never quite finishes.

Good solid barbera from the hood. Deep dark purple color. Definitely floral notes, aroma and palate. Fine grain tannins and ok mouthfeel. Quaffable but an Italy version at a cheaper price is a better deal.qel

Lovely floral nose. Very pretty aromatics. Medium weight. Plenty of fruit here but the acidity and tannins are disjointed, a bit out of place. Definitely juicy, but not a joy to drink.

Day 1 - Central Coast Tastings (Central Coast - CA): Just a beautiful Barbera with a sweet, floral nose. The palate was subtle, juicy, and really elegant. Had great depth of flavor and didn't have too much oak or heat. Really nice.

Ordered at Succulent Cafe in Solvang. Interesting wine in that it is vert tart but also has a strong savory component. Not a great wine on its own, but went very well with flatiron steak and short rib dishes.

Decanted 90 mins. ahead. Deep garnet color. Fruit-forward nose of black cherries and plums, backed up by clove and mushroom notes. Juicy and delicious on the palate, as bright cranberry notes come in. Medium-light body, with sappy acidity. More clear fruit in the finish ahead of light tannins and low grip. This is a thoroughly delicious and tooth-staining bottle. Tasty fruit leads at every stage, made more interesting by spicy background notes. This wine also shows the difficulties of the 100 point scale: As a food-friendly, approachable, seductive wine, this is great stuff. It does not aspire to more, and it fulfills its role very very well.

Good mouthfeel, sweet dark fruit has nice balance with soft tannins and good amount of acidity . Drinks well now and will hold for some time.

PMcCullough: nice ruby red color. Cherry and cranberry on noise. Heavy tannins.
