This is a very solid, dependable, $10 wine that succeeds in being more than some wines that cost twice as much. It has lots of lime, a bit of a middle, and a long, lime pith finish. Chill it (it needs a bit of a chill) and serve with salads, grilled shrimp, and roast chicken — almost any white meat dish, actually. A very good regular inexpensive wine.

- Light gold color with fast forming legs and aromas of cut green grass. It's balanced and has flavours of lemon with a medium body. Round texture with a medium finish.

Of all the wines we drink on a regular basis, this is by far the most popular. Whether by the pool, at Happy Hour, with dinner, or just to sip and enjoy, we consume more bottles per year of Geyser Peak Sauvignon Blanc California, than any other wine. That is why we are so disappointed with the new 2011 offering. Normally this wine is sort of a compromise between New Zealand herbal grassiness, and California fruitiness. Always close to 90 points, and often $10 or less, this was an awesome bottle of wine. Not the 2011. It is still somewhat credible, but basically much more thin and washed out. I even get a light amount of spritz on the palate. Is this wine trying to referment in the bottle?. The fruit is far less concentrated and intense. You can tell it is Sauvignon Blanc, but just barely. The excitement and crispness is just not there. Seems a little manipulated, like grocery store wines that typically cost half as much. Tried 2 bottles, and both were the same. The finish is relatively lifeless. I guess wait until 2012
