2nd magnum from WHWC. The corks are.very short, both bottles had fully saturated corks, relying on the capsule for a seal. One still had good acidity but fell apart overnight. Will be drinking my 3rd soon, hoping the cork is in better shape than the prior 2

Typical strong oily petrol notes that quickly blew off the reveal a beautiful steely structured pallet. Powerful and oh so long on the finish. Its contemplative and very complex. Constantly evolving in the glass. There is no give to this wine. Citrus fruits mainly lemon with green apples. Mouthcoating creamy aftertaste that sits there and lingers for a long time. Fantastic wine, near perfect. Drink now-2028.
Heartbreaking tension between the acid, the fruit, and the mineral. Like a tight rope walker. So elegant. Pretty much what you want from a Kabinett. Prum is just so consistent with this wine.

At Lotus of Siam. Medium gold color with a full, expansive and energetic nose of modest petrol, honey, mineral and white fruits. Palate is full of juicy acidity and round white fruit. Awash with minerals. Medium finish. Terrific showing for a mature Kabinett. Don't see much sense in holding these further.

0 for 3 on the mags from WHWC. Pity I never got to enjoy the greatness others have with this wine.

Proves that mature Mosel Kabinett is one of the most underappreciated categories in fine wine.

Excellent Prum. Still holding well but no reason to keep. My last bottle.
