Conn Creek's 2010 Anthology is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot and 3% Malbec. From a bottle purchased upon release and cellared under ideal conditions, it was decanted off of its substantial sediment and allowed three hours in carafe prior to tasting. Still a youthful deep ruby in color, it delivers aromas and flavors of dark plums, Bing cherries, fig, cocoa and graham cracker spice. Medium-bodied and seamlessly alcoholic (14.5%), it is softly textured by virtue of its low acidity, resolved tannins and fully integrated oak. Dense on the mid-palate, it moves on to a lengthy, smooth finish. This is undoubtedly in its "sweet spot" at the present time. Comparably cellared bottles should provide plenty of enjoyment over the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2026.

Last bottle from a 1/2 case , went out on top though. Showing nicely at the moment with fruit and some interesting secondary flavors all blending well. Doubt it has much room to improve so drink up.

Rich and plummy, pretty full into secondary phase with cigar box and relaxed tannins; silky mouthfeel. Probably close to peak, though will hold well here for a few years.

excellent nose after brief decant, but this one seems to have lost it's tannins and structure a little. Maybe time to drink these? Very enjoyable now without food and for those who do not like tannins and acidity. Napa typical nose and flavors still showing though. Drink soon if you have them!

Nice nose of wet, just rained on stone, dusty wood, light herbal notes, bright under-ripe fruits, wild flower and slight hints of cooked meat. On the palate appears bitter chocolate, pepper and more rounded dark berries. Buoyant in the mouth with good tannin balance over juicy, not quite jammy fruit. Finishes nicely. Really nice bottle, goes beyond good daily drinker nicely.

Medium bodied, dark garnet colored, rich, nicely balanced symphony of smooth soft sweet black berry and black raspberry fruits highlighted by layers of vanilla mocha, cinnamon, and sweet spicy oak, with silky fine grained tannins on a smooth polished lingering finish.
Lavender. Silky. Syrah smooths the wine; reduces tannins? Still some good Cabernet Sauvignon taste. This would be great with a steak. Good wine for the price.

This iteration of Anthology is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot and 3% Malbec. Deep ruby in color, it sports aromas and flavors of black bramble fruits, licorice, lavender and clove. Medium-to-full-bodied, round and with nicely integrated alcohol (14.5%), this wine has silky tannins that glide on the middle palate and throughout the medium length finish. Another year or two in the bottle are in order here, as there are intangibles which suggest to me that such cellaring will be rewarded. Drink 2016-2024.

Decanted and enjoyed over 1-2 hours with surf and turf. A simple straightforward Cali cab, expressive cranberry and faint tannins.

Medium bodied, focusing on more red berries than black, with a spicy, crisp finish, this will be best in its youth.
