Popped and poured. Mistake! Took an hour to open up. Very dense color. Brooding. Black fruits and very heavy in on the palate. Smooth but way too much oak for me. It ruined a nicely made wine. Was OK with pizza.

Beautiful deep, red color. Cedar, dirt and smoke on an extremely inviting nose. Smooth, medium finish, with some pepper at the end. Had with a shrimp, artichoke and mushroom pasta sauce, and it couldn't have complimented it any better. Will have to try and find more of this - what a value!

Sourced from Olivers Road and Bakers Gully this Shiraz is deep red in colour with a purple hue. The nose is earthy, but also shows toasted oak, spice and cedar characters. The palate is concentrated and rich. Juicy fruit, good tannin and acidity. Nice.

Dinner wine at smackdown II. Opened up nicely after an hour or so out of the bottle. Plenty of fruit, leather on the nose. Dark fruit and licorice flavors. Well balanced. Was clear choice over the 2005 torbreck woodcutter's, 2005 qupe, and 2000 chapoutier shiraz.

I love it. Beautiful garnet with aromas of vanilla and smoke with soft plum. The tannins and acid are in harmony while the beefy finish lingers on. Mind you, this is my maiden TN so I offer this along with a grain of NaCl.

Pulled this out of the cellar in a pinch to have with a pizza. Very enjoyable. Wonderful nose. The fruit and the wood were both there but nicely balanced.

Nice everyday shiraz with a good combination of vanillin oak and dark berry fruit. Enough complexity to enjoy during the next 3-5 years. Medium body. Drink now-2011

Fully mature, but good fruit. Tannins seemed fully resolved. I think it'll be good drinking for the next five years.

Inky in color. Although I think it was a little past it's prime, it was still tasty. Red cherry and earth on the mouth with heat.
