There's plenty of ripe plum, leather and dirt to suggest a very ripe vintage. There's enough acid to to keep it going a while longer. Great pizza and party wine.

Pretty bold Chianti, built on a foundation of black cherry, with secondary notes of saddle leather and grilled meat. Nice balance of fruit and animale. Quintessentially Tuscan, and an excellent representation of the region and the vintage.

Dark purple color. Well pronounced Dark fruits as cherry, plums with a a smoky leather flavor on the palate, something animal but very well balanced.medium body. Feel an easy sleepy finish. Maybe A bit pricy for a Chianti, but certainly one on the best out there. Brilliant and vibrant biological Chianti wine.A must have for many occasions.

Garnet red color. Lovely texture to this, with fresh and focused tart cherry, dusty old leather, and a fine finish. Can't wait to try the Riserva, if I can find it.

My last bottle of this - I really enjoy it. I think the profile has evolved a bit since my first bottle a year ago. Lots of blueberry, forest floor, spice to go with the cherry. Very nice mellow tannins to go with the high acidity and medium+ body and finish. Hard to put it down.

A somewhat transparent, bold dark garnet color. The best word to describe the nose is unmistakable. Dark red cherries covered by dust, with smoke, graphite, toasty dry wood and just a hint of licorice. Medium bodied and juicy with high acidity. Packed with a bit overripe, sour dark cherry and licorice. Quite intense with a chewy mouthfeel and a spicy finish. Really dry, but I would not call this austere. In many ways similar to the awesome 2008 version, but the fruit is considerably more ripe, unfortunately deducting points in terms of purity and brightness. Great structure, gripping tannins and solid precision, and yet totally ready to go. Still a good QPR and one of the better Chiantis out there overall, but I'm looking forward to drinking colder vintages of this.

Light ruby, clear towards edges. Cherry, cocoa, vanilla(not overly oaked though) alcohol (blows off to a degree but slightly out of balance) and some earthy notes.Bitter finish at the end that I don't enjoy. Tannis are medium but lighter than you'd expect for a 2010. Acid is medium minus. Finish is short. Overall a well made and solid chianti classico for the price but I don't see this going anywhere in future years. The review below about the K&L tasting is accurate.... I am wondering if they tasted a different wine also. Reminds me of most vintages I've had of Fattoria di Fèlsina Berardenga. Drink next few years.

I have seen a video where James Suckling did a blind tasting at KLwines on Italian wines. The third one was a Riecine Chianti Classico 2010. Both (the retailers and James Sucklings) judging was that this wine could not be differentiated from a 60 $ Tuscany wine (Youtube: Wine Challenge: K&L - Italian Wine - JamesSuckling.com).
Well.... The retailer's told, that this wine had just too much tannin to enjoy the whole bottle.
Let me tell you my tasting: Beautiful Chianti Classico: Light red, fresh, ready to drink today, just light tannins, not for the long haul, comparable to the 2007 Fontodi Chianti Classico. I am watching the video and I am wondering if they talk about a different wine. Yes, a typical Chianti Classico 2010. But nothing more and nothing less.
I went to the 'Koelner Weinkeller' to buy two bottles. Not something I would want to stock up my cellar with. Isole et Olena, Fontodi, Rentennano, Quercebella provide also very nice 2010 Classico's.
Therefore to me this is a clear 89pt wine and I am wondering about the hype (don't believe it). Anyone who's given this wine a 91 / 92 might have been in a very nice environment or has never tasted good Riservas or reasonable priced vino de tavola's.

Dark red, tending to light red at the rim. When opened quite a bit of hay on the nose, which fades to reveal the fruit (red). Full and slightly sweet on the palate, really quite dense, only slightly tannic at the end - nice to drink now - but will improve.

This is a gorgeous Chianti Classico. Rich and vibrant with an aggressive attack. Lots of complexity with a plush texture. Lots of class, has the stuffing to age. Will definitely buy more.

Aroma is cherry, vanilla and a little coffee. On the palate, it's cherry pie with some acidity and tannin. Light, well balanced, nice finish. A very pleasant drink, even without food. I don't drink much Chianti, so I don't know if this is typical. But I could drink much more of this....

Absolutely, lovely and gorgeous wine. So fruity it does not let you get away from thee glass. I loved the clear fruit. I was a little sceptic when I read the 14.5% alcohol by volume. But the alcohol is nicely integrated and adds to some sweetness without sugar. This is what natural wine is all about and how Chianti could be. Lovely.
