  • Delicious. In a very good spot. Probably wont improve significantly.
Red fruit and tertiary notes provide good complexity both on the nose and palate. Quite good length. Very smooth on the mid palate. Medium bodied.

  • Burg Dinner with Friends (Gander - New York NY): Lots of ripe black fruit with good concentration. Came across slightly older than most 2009s with a few awkward edges, but fruit concentration keeps this enjoyable. I'm not really familiar with this wine, but wouldn't think it will age gracefully beyond another few more years, at least not for this 2009.

  • Light/medium body. Nice aromatics; rose petal, raspberry. Cherry, plum, linzer tart. A touch spicy. Good acidity. Middleweight tannins. Slightly out of balance. With more time the rating could be higher. A winery to watch.
