Opened and poured. Needed a little time to blow off some funk. Opened up nicely to typical Grenache fruit and nuances but oh so intense without being hot or overripe. Actually think this has more life in it - just give it a little time to open up. Great stuff love Epoch!

Agree with some previous TNs - picking up licorice, sweet berries (candied), but also a nice fullness. Finish was a bit shorter IMHO than others have stated, but overall a nice wine.

Tasted over two nights. It took several hours to open the first night. Dark garnet, completely opaque. Pronounced aroma of blackberries, black raspberries, but slight candy and prune notes from being a bit overripe. Very thick and viscous. The flavor is rich and concentrated, plenty of fruit, some sweetness, with tannin and alcohol just a bit too pronounced. The finish is definitely hot, but long-lasting, with a bit of licorice on the end. Aftertaste keeps going on. This is very intense, especially for a 75% grenache wine. It's my last bottle, but if I had more I might give it another year or two. Ric

Not sure if this was a bad bottle but it was so overly sweet, over ripe not enjoyable. All four of us that tasted could not finish the glass and poured it out.

Decanted 2 hours and drank over 2 days. Soft and layered with creamy sweet red and black fruits, melted licorice, well saturated chalk, and a dusting of cocoa with plenty of graceful sex appeal. It could use a few more years to tone down the fruit intensity as the impression of sweetness from the grenache was a bit much on both days, but the texture and mouthfeel were exquisite!

Ended-up being decanted for 4 hours. It was still opening-up at hour 6. Very consistent with what we experienced a year ago with last bottle. True to winemaker's notes regarding layered blackberry and raspberry flavors with licorice at the end.

Drank over 2 nights. Very nice GSM blend from Paso. Too young and could use another couple years. Taste the alochol. Strawberry jam, chocolate, pepper. The grenache shines right up front and is very nice. A bit stewed, but not too bad. A meal on its own.

Decanted through an aerator 5 hours prior to tasting. Beautiful nose from the decanter to the last drop. Slightly syrupy red fruits and wet rocks wrapped in cottony tannin slither across the palate. A wine misnamed as it is decidedly more sensuous than sensible. Unforgettable.

Decanted 2 hours, served with short ribs - simply sublime. Very balanced GSM - flavors of black raspberry, strawberry, orange...beautiful close. Ready to love now....

This was decanted for about 1.5 hours, and had alongside a Cherry Pie Pinot noir and an Alban Grenache. This was the WOTN hands down. The blend of Grenache, Mouvedre, and Syrah is absolutely brilliant. Each plays a part in a balanced and delicious wine. Drink now, or hold for another year or two.

Wait, Stand-by, Whoa..... Not so fancy ways to say hold this juice. Drank too young and though while killer, has great potential in the long run. The best of a GMS blend.

At Epoch's pick up party. Really liked this wine. Juicy and bright on the palate. Good energy and a fine feminine elegance. Sexy. Even better than last years effort. Outstanding juice.

Deeper and darker than I expected. Plum and fig paste mix with some mild herb flavors.

Stewed fruit with brandy like qualities. Very disappointing.

Fabulous! The dark berry flavor is enriched by sage, violet and pepper. A wonderful wine.

This is a powerful wine in the fruit forward tradition. Very enjoyable, in that intense sort of way.

Just great. Blend of Grenache 75%, Mourvedre 22%, and Syrah 3%. Wonderful fruit in an elegant, integrated mix. Smooth with a lot of depth.
