Yellow-gold tending toward gold. Good chardonnay fruit and background oak on opening but an oxidative note became more prominent with air. Either an off bottle or declining. Another bottle about 2 years ago was much better. Still a decent wine, but definitely time to drink up.

Wow. Previous notes nailed it. Rich but still has some lemon cleanse on the finish. No way this goes up from here, so this has to be the tipping point. Will add sunshine to a c-19 day.

I'm impressed that this has lasted this long. Full yellow, straw coloring. Has lost the big buttery taste and the nose is subdued compared to its younger version but still good. Do I drink the rest now or keep the experiment going?
Single glass from a Coravin pour. Pretty yellow and gold. Nice blend of butterscotch , tropical fruits, hint of lemon and moderate oak. Clearly a big wine and from California, but very nicely done. Seems to be in its optimal drinking window now

Crisp and mellow with underlying oak that doesn’t overpower. Lacks some of the force of many other high end California Chardonnays, but it’s hardly Chablis like.

had this at a large group event in a plastic cup! despite that injustice, this still shone. golden hue, terrific fruit, salanity and yummy long finish.

Noticeably stronger than our previous bottle from Aug '14. Fruit, oak, and minerality in balance, with a smooth texture and long finish. Really nice wine, and a great match with sous vide lemon cod and sous vide lobster tail.

Pop and pour. In the glass, clear pale gold. On the nose, a somewhat muted mixture of citrus, oak, and honeysuckle. On the palate, lemon is the primary note, with strong acidity, and secondary notes of honey and damp wood. This still feels quite primary to me; I'd say give it another 2-3 years before trying again.

Really terrific wine that's really alive and well right now. Balanced, nuanced, and showing what a great California Chardonnay is like.

Big round and smooth. Butter and oak present, but in balance. Some floral notes. Big, full mouth feel. Balance. Long finish with nice acid.

South Charlotte Wine Lovers - California Bordeaux Blends (Bob and Anita's Place on Lake Wylie): Butter, oak, apple pie, and some pear. I seem to really like wines more and more that source grapes from Hyde Vineyard in Caneros. This reminded me of Rombauer Chardonnay. Had enough acid to balance out the creamy texture providing a great wine to start the evening with.

Honey, butter, lemon and a nice level of acidity that gave it a good balance.

Wonderful nose of pear and apricot. Pale yellow color. Nice viscous mouthfeel with pleasant citrus overtones. Very well balanced. Great Chard.
