Nose - red & dark berry, oak Mouth - fresh dark cherry, better integrated that before, impressively fruity with good zing. Can blau benefits from 5 years bottle age at least in my experience.

Pepper on the nose. Dry, lots of tannins. Not as acidic as some other Spanish reds. This one would be better with food than without. Very good, and great at around $10

Crystal Symphony AI wine list - brief impressions (Norway): Dark, brooding; black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, chocolate, coffee. Full bodied, with good acid and medium-high but very approachable tannin. Finishes with ripe fruit and spice. This is a rich, big, but not over-extracted wine, and quite good.

- dark garnet in color. - getting slate, black cherry, a little meat, and a touch of coffee on the nose. - medium to full bodied. decent acidity. nice tannic grip. relatively short on the finish, but not completely falling off a cliff. no heat. decent balance. - black currant, black cherry, bramble and minerals on the palate with a slight savory note on the back end.
scored 6 of these for under $10. pleased with the the QPR at that price. this strikes me as more of a food wine than one to be consumed on its own.

- Garnet color with medium forming legs and aromas of cherry. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant, blackberry and raspberry with a medium/full body. Fleshy texture with a short finish - Very nice Montsant grenache, full of fruit and balance. Enjoyed with and without food. Look forward to trying different years.

This is an excellent bottle of wine for the money and a top ten QPR for sure for 2013. Minerals, raspberries, blueberries and subtle spices. Complex, medium finish. Highly recommend this wine.

Dark purple in the glass, nose very complex, starts out with plum and dust with layers of raspberry and cherry, palate has herbs backed by black fruits and smoke with some oak, long finish. Great QPR.

Nice red blend. Smells peppery and the garnacha, the smallest component, really shows its flavor profile. Tannins are fairly high, but this was very drinkable. Tasted at Vintage Cellar.

Quite a complex nose: there's the slatey, mineral notes typical of Priorat but there are also floral notes, presumably from the Carignan that, with Garnacha and Syrah, makes up the blend. Palate is full-bodied and powerful: lots of ripe blue fruit initially then the slate quality through the mid-palate followed by lots of sweet, exotic spice on the finish; the latter is a little OTT (think Christmas Cake) for my tastes. Initially the combination of low acidity and lots of dusty tannin rendered the wine a little rustic but it improved over the course of two days (so worth decanting).

Sharp & sweet, fruit and nut milk chocolate, blackberry and plum. Bitter chocolate and mineral palate, slightly thin at the start but becomes glossy and more dense with brambly, chewy fruit as it opens. Has a modern languedoc feel about it. Interesting and does exhibit quite a bit of quality. 89

Very youthful colour, blue and violet and very dark in the centre. An exceptional aroma of figs, dates, crushed blueberries and melted chocolate. On the palate, thick and opulent, rich and voluptuous, expressing generous flavours of wild summer blackberries, cocoa, roasted coffee beans, grilled meats and fresh pastry. Delicious finish that's a lot less monstrous than its high alcohol level suggests. An excellent Montsant wine, and very good value to boot. A touch of definition and acidity would have taken this to a whole new level.

A nose of dark fruits and spice, dark purple in color. A full bodied red blend, with blackberry, currants, toasted vanilla spice on finish, still a very young wine.

Deep, young color, not transparent. The nose shows lots of ripe, almost gummy fruit, with a hint of smoke and minerals. On the palate, this is medium full bodied and fairly rich, with a good elegance about it. The finish is of medium length, with medium acidity and a bit of heat from the alcohol. My problem here is that the fruit is too ripe, and the wine lacks some energy because of it...

Blackberry, plum, and big dark fruits making this a big wine which is integrating but still shows heat. Slightly raisinoid.
