Still tasting good !! A perfect cork after over a decade in the bottle, easily removed. Consumed over three days. Fresher fruit early, a little tired on day three. Deep ruby color with modest oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of pomegranate and cranberry. Flavors of black cherry, raspberry, and black tea with a hint of forest floor. This Pinot Noir has a medium finish. A balanced and flavorful Pinot Noir blend from the Russian River Valley appellation. This age worthy wine may have more life remaining. I have three more bottles remaining in my cellar, so I will open soon to verify this tasting note. Great fruit and a great winemaking effort by Ben Papapietro.

We’ve had this bottle since it’s release and it’s been well stored. We opened it this evening and were quite surprised at how silky smooth, and fresh the wine tasted. The fruit has mellowed a bit but it’s still there in every respect. The berries notes make this wine delicious. I’m thrilled that it’s still so good!

Incredible complex aromatics with cherry and smoke dominating yet finish was on the short side. Well made. Would like to try other vintages as this was my first from this producer. Drink within following 5 years.

Still drinking well but on its way down. Lovely strawberry notes that is light and would pair well with fish or poultry. Still drinking well but on it's way down. Great nose.

Very little fruit. Leathery, earthy, even a touch meaty. I liked that it was restrained, but wished at least a little more fruit. Not particularly acidic at the end, so also didn't work so well with our Cantonese tomato beef.
2/18/2019 Seemed to be more fruit this time, but the earthy, leathery flavors still dominate.

Medium garnet in color. Looked a little thin in the glass. Yummy nose with orange, mild leather, mild chocolate, some hay, and plum. Little to no tannin, easy to drink without food. I got a little vanilla and raisin on the palate. We were disappointed with our pairing it with a heavily seasoned grilled sirloin strip. I think it would have been better with pasta, chicken, or braised beef (pot roast). It's a nice wine, but not a "wow."

Medium in garnet color and body, opens with intensity of primary flavors of Rhubarb and Raspberry, supported with bright acidity and tart tannins. Should go for a decade or so longer, with a Pommard-like flavor profile. Well-crafted and tasty.

Classic papa's Pinot. Dark berry fruit taste with a nice finish of cherry cola. Drank this with some jarlsberg cheese and crackers which were a great complement

Not as good as much of Papapietro. Not as fruity. Got better over 60 minutes as it opened. Good, not great
