Blackberries and black cherries with vanilla and toasted oak. Soft tannins, full mouth feel, long finish Tastes much younger than 9 years. It should last a couple more years.
Granacha and Tempranillo blend that tastes better than muc more expensive wines.

My 2nd of 3 bottles. On first night had a glass. Very tight. Aearating opened it up but lost too much. Put cork in and waited a couple days. Wow! Completely opened up. Wonderful balance. Fruit bomb with strawberry/raspberry/blackberry - even something darker like prune. Tobacco/leather in background. Little bit of spice.
Finish is nice and long, and can feel tannins begin to become more evident. Only one bottle left. Not sure how long to hold.

Very drinkable and enjoyable. Good fruit and soft tannins. Not complicated. but pleasant. It's a real bargain at this price. It was almost better than a really good $80 wine we had last night (Sonoma County blend).
We served an older vintage of this wine for our wedding in 2002. It was good then and is better now.

It opened up after about an hour but still fell flat. Very light on the nose and a non existent finish. Mid palate was decent but that's the end of it.

Bright ruby color. Scents of ripe red and blue berries with lite pepper. Huge fruit flavors of cherries, strawberries, and brambles. Rich, smooth mouthfeel. A delicious fruitbomb and really good QPR. New around here and we'll be buying more.

Nice QPR here and a good wine to serve for a large gathering. Somewhat shy nose of red berries and spice. Palate mirrors nose nicely and is framed by adequate acidity. Could use a 6 - 12 months cellar time to fully round out.

Very good fruit notes and some spice and tannins on the end. Better with 6-12 months of bottle age, but still a good drink now. Very good QPR for $7 retail. At Sarah's party in Forest Hills, Queens

This is easily my favorite simple, easy to drink Spanish red wine. There is no complication here, just soft, ready to go fruitiness. Has a lot of that whole cluster fermented , no broken skin soft fruitiness. Rich purple color. The nose, surprise, smells like grapes and geraniums. The palate is soft, but expressive blackberry and blueberry that despite the 14% alcohol is probably slightly sweet. Probably never got within 20' of an oak barrel. They did't bother with any taninns. Some road tar with the blackberry and mulberry finish.

The one, the only Borsao. A great wine for the price or any price. Glycerin, flavor, not grapey with good spiciness.

Spain
It’s a nice wine, equilibrated and married with zucchini, cheese and tomato – not with Spanish ham…

Stunning value. Very fruit forward, soft and round. Easy drinking but enough complexity to not get bored.

This vintage is growing on me. Not yet to the WA#. Borsao is always a dependable bargain that can drink with any wine.

A bit grapey and lacking complexity for this wine; usually love this wine and have been drinking it for years, let's see how the next bottle does.
