Deeper yellow in glass, lovely on opening and just got better with air. Still somewhat understated, and even with a bit of richness borne from age, is remarkably fresh on palate, especially with a clean finish. Nose is floral, light lemon, stone fruit, hints of apple, palate follows with lightest butter and oak. Perfect balanced acidity, dancing with the fruit giving a bit of roundness on the fine finish. Perfect before, with dinner of grilled swordfish, steamed garden fresh pole beans, corn bread, and then after. Just great all in all wrap to a summer evening meal.

Served with cod loin baked in butter, lemon and white wine with bread crumbs. Food benefitted wine and vice versa. Light yellow color. ALLRED’s review from 2017 is still on point. Bright acidity is most prominent, followed by toast, white flowers, and hints of lemon curd. Very enjoyable.

Served with sauteed sea scallops in light lemon/white wine/dill sauce on fettuccine. I think ALLRED described nicely. Would add color darker than pale, nose was evident and open and a delight. The palate was long & elegant. The decisive & balanced acidity made it great with food. Thoroughly enjoyable.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (The Anvil Club, East Dundee, IL): Tasted double blind. Pale color with notes of toast, white flowers, mineral and lemon/citrus. The palate follows the bouquet. Elegant, with wonderful acidity and balance and a lingering finish. Guessed 2012 Meursault 1er.

Once again a nice little encounter by the glass at the BA lounge. Not a fresh bottle or at least a very popular one. Quite dependable and to the point little number, nice acidity and as of that structure, good level of ripeness and nice length. A very example of a humble meursault which still has quite a bit of life ahead of it. A pretty solid 89-90 again.

By the glass at the BA lounge Definitely a better showing than 2 months ago ( papies 89) and the oak is less evident. Maybe it's because the bottle was opened longer? The oak is there but less pronounced, more lemony and fresh with good character. Well balanced and very enjoyable. Will not win miss complexity this year but a good 90 from us

By the glass at the BA lounge. Fresh bottle. Light in colour, youthful, glossy. Evident oak on this wine, firm back bone of acidity, good fruit, light mineral. Very good but in away generic lightly oak Chardonnay. Nota bad wine though 88-89

Weekly tasting group #078; France a mixed set plus 2 pirates: white, rosé and red. (@ CvR): White fruits in the bouquet. On the palate firm tart citrus; lime. Also melon, banana and spiciness as well as some oak, but the latter not overdone. Some bitterness in the finish. Extremely youthful. Wait a few years. 88+ for now
