Nose petrol dominant, with lime and dried apricot. Hints of rubber reduction. Palate mineral dominant, plenty of acid, homeycomb and smoky hints. Plenty of stone fruit, earthy hints. No hurry to drink this in my view. Has the stuffing. Give it a bit of time to breathe and shed some of that nasty sulfur - though not as much as in many screw cap German Rieslings.

Distinctive nose of rubber and petrol, followed up with a sweet, pleasant palate of peach and flowers. Almost flabby by has just enough acidity to keep it from a cloying taste. Great QPR.

Served with dinner and finished some 3 hours later. Light color. Nose shows a clean quince and pineapple mix. Taste is pear with a little tropical pieces. Maybe lacking a little acidity but nice nonetheless and decent QPR.

This pours a clear, greenish gold and is full of floral tropical fruit aromas. The initial impression is the lightness of the body: has none of the density and body of the Doctor. It also has a slight prickliness that really works well with the sweetness. Peach is the dominant flavor, along with some pears and melon. Combined with the lightess of body, this really reminds me of a really good Moscato D'Asti. The salient feature of the finish, for me, is the low acidity. There is no face-peeling acid attack on your palate. Instead, the finish is soft and carries through with the fruitiness. While this makes for easier drinking, I would hesitate to pair this with spicy Asian food like I would a much more acidic example. Overall, an excellent wine, especially considering the price.

Rubber & petrol on the nose as is often the case with older Rieslings. Low acidity, fruity & tropical aromas.

Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch (Erben Müller-Burggraef) Riesling Tasting with Owner Barbara Rundquist Muller (Ristorante Luci, St. Paul, MN): Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. This was quite pleasant, green apple, fusil, musky florals, The palate adds some tropical fruit and lime with good minerality. Medium finish.
