I'm not normally a fan of Garnacha / Grenache, but this was quite pleasant. On nose:earth , pomegranate and mild coffee. On palate : a follow through of above flavours, raspberry and sage notes. This wine is now 8 years old , has matured well but not a keeper for much longer due to its lack of acidity and high alcohol which lingers on the finish....not bad with weekend BBQ.

I was underwhelmed with this wine, perhaps my expectations were amped up. It was light and showed plenty of funk qualities, but lacked weight, structure and complexity. There is nothing wrong with this wine, what so ever, it was easy to drink and a crowd pleasing wine for all.

Bright ruby. Nose of candied cherries and cola. Flavors of cherry, plum, oak and vanilla. A bit of earth in the finish. Pronounced tannins. Long finish. A bit of alcohol in the end. Very nice and great value. I am enjoying these Idilico wines.

The Idilico is a warm wine with lush candied cherry and plums and a rather alcoholic finish. See my comparison between this and the Syncline Grenache. http://aspectwine.tumblr.com/post/38306989759/grenache-showdown-syncline-vs-idilico

Rich fruity wine. A bit flat and not much complexity, but delivers well at its price point.

Day one started as a gloppy mess. Poured back and will try again on day 2.
Update... not much better on day 2, had evolved a bit but into a concord grape juicy sweetness. Sorry I bought this one.
