Glou Glou with tart strawberries, cranberries, pomegranate, blood orange on the nose. This is wine that's very accessible with medium plus acidity. Fun to drink, but not overly complex.

Transparent orange ruby. The nose is intense dark red fruit, pomegranate, red plums, overripe strawberry, and a whiff of leather(?). The palate is spicy and significantly tart, but so bursting with fresh flavor that it qualifies as balanced. The finish is I think the weakest spot, medium long and pleasant but not enchanting. I am guessing this is a field blend of the three primary red Jura grapes and a host of others, possibly including some white varieties. I happen to really like this wine, but it probably does not earn its tariff.

Mostly Jura tasting (Riga): Peculiar, not-clear raspberry jam colour. Quite strong aroma of vegetables, strawberries, pickle juice, marinade, high accidity, fermented birch tree juice (typical local drink here). Also - earthy notes, red cranberries. It is interesting how the nose is changing from pickled cabbage juice to strawberries and back, it happened several times in the first half an hour, later it mostly stayed at the pickle juice aromas. Palate mirrored the nose. This was very interesting, especially given the story and everything, but not very enjoyable by itself.

Juicy fruit, strawberries, raspberries, pretty much a mixed basket of red fruit. Some rhubarb, vanilla, extremely refreshing. Obvious feeling of vin nature here, not very complex but oh so tasty and drinkable.

Love the French label. The label for the US market is far less interesting. Bright pink in color. Explosive nose. On the palate it wasn't as interesting with a linear palate and a lot of pickles. Reminded me of the Pacalet style.

Decanted 2 hours. Cloudy pink, red. Loads of bright red fruits, forest floor and spice on nose. Palate has light weight bright red berries with a heavy dose of tart acidity. Light tannins. A red Jura was recommended to match with this bacony coq a vin and the rich fatness of the pureed potatoes, broth and meat really took a lot of the 'sting' out of the acidity, allowing the wine's bright fruit to compliment. However, the Beaujo gave more pleasure.

Cloudy, light red, just darker than a rose. Lovely aromas of wild strawberries and spices. On the palate, dominant impression is cranberry tartness (the wine just about goes to the limit of how much acidity a red wine can have while still being enjoyable to drink). With air some sweet fruit emerges. The wine is aromatically compelling but on the palate it almost reaches the limit of how much acidity one can enjoy in a red wine.

Nice nose, much better and settled on day 2. Very floral, blood orange, blue fruits and fraise des bois along with some funk. High acidity, similar palate. Great to drink as usual even if right now I liked the 2010 better (a little more complete in my mind).

Smells like Ocean Spray cran-apple juice, with a fair amount of pyrazine. You can actually smell the tartaric acid. The flavor is incredibly tart, the acidity is just overpowering here, you can't taste anything else. And I say this as someone who likes plenty of high-acid Chinon, Beaujolais, Red Burgundy, etc. These grapes just never got fully ripe. I don't think anyone finished a glass.

Vinoblesse Ganevat Tasting & Dinner (Resturant Neva, Amsterdam, NL): ABV 10.5%, franc de pied, planted in 2000, 30,000 vines/ha en foule, intracellular fermentation, just bottled, 800 bottles produced. Incredibly fragrant and floral, freshness from the stalks, very fresh and precise, elegance and poise, allspice on the finish, good length, quite unique.

Light body with off-the-grid flavor profile. A perfect wine to serve with a slight chill on summer night at the Hollywood Bowl.

Smoking good stuff. A clean bottle that was bursting with pure, light red fruits. I could drink this all day long. So clean and fresh.

A far more clean bottle than the first one I tried. Lovely rustic red fruits with great balance. Tons of interest. Awesome.
