Drank this last night with a Costco rotisserie chicken. Delicious Chablis. Crisp and bright with no sign of oxidation. I would say at or near peak drinking. Under screw cap.

A golden light colour, citrus and yellow apple aromoa, then became fatty and a hint of butter. Medium acidity and a you may found yellow apple and some mineral on palate, then some grapefruit bitterness at the end. A bit creamy on palate. Better to drink it at aound 7-8 degree C.

Double decant for 3hr. Reticent nose with hints of richness. Palate of richness too to go with some citrus. Round. Medium acid. I think this is a drink now. It's buttery and full and really not a great deal of nuance or depth. Missing some precision here too though reasonably elegant. Not bad QPR. Certainly expressing the warm vintage here.

Aged for 9 months on the lees, 15% of the wine in used oak barrels.
Lemon yellow color. Quite ripe, somewhat sweet and a bit developed nose in which the warm vintage 2009 shows: aromas of sweet yellow apples, white stone fruits, some chalky minerality, a little bit of nutty toast, a hint of honey and a touch of developed creaminess which turns towards clarified butter. Contrasting the nose, the wine is surprisingly light-bodied, delicate and rather acid-driven on the palate with complex flavors of steely minerality, sweet cidery apple, some ripe citrus fruits, a little bit of mature toasty character, light buttery and nutty notes and a touch of savory wood. Great balance. The finish is complex, bright and rather dry with developed, mature flavors of wood reminding me of old furniture, some tart green apples, a little bit of steely minerality, a hint of wizened citrus fruits and a touch of cream.
An elegant and nicely developed 1er Cru Chablis that is surprisingly bright and focused for a wine from the hot 2009 vintage. The wine might develop a little bit from here, but I really don't see much point in that, as the wine feels rather mature already. Despite being aged under a screwcap, this wine seems to be developing rather rapidly - or then it was just stored in too warm temperature. Whatever the case may be, this is pretty nice right now. As opposed to the usually rather anonymous Laroche style, this is actually pretty nice. A bit on the pricey end at 28,00€, but still somewhat worth it.

Visit to Laroche in Chablis (Chablis): Nose with yellow apple, some peach, slightly flowery and perfumed - elegant. Palate with green and some yellow apple, citrus, high acidity, a hint of grapefruit bitterness, stony mineral, fruity and apply aftertaste. Slender and elegant for a 2009. Rather young, 89(+) p

Vindredi (Bellevue, WA): Tasted blind. Very light nose; though you can smell the chalky soils. Light, soft body, with perhaps a bit of reduction. Finishes with good acids and a bit of spice. Seemed a bit tight right now, but others felt this would be outstanding in 10+ years.

Has the bright fruit and minerality that I associate with Chablis plus a rich creaminess. Very balanced. Love it.

My previous tasting notes still apply. A surprisingly serious and enjoyable 1er Cru Chablis, especially given the warm vintage.

Very light color. Ripe citrus nose. Appealing creamy, chalky feel. Orange rind flavors, good acidity. Fat in the style of the vintage, very good.

Rich, biscuity more fruit and vanilla than Vaillons... I suppose one could ask whether this degree of richness is true-to-appellation? But I like it

Some oystery steeliness, persistent, structured, could use a few more years--not very expressive right now.
