Christmas Eve dinner at the Palace. Went well with rare chateaubriand, spinach and potatoes. This really benefitted from double-decanting at home and then pouring into glssses and giving it more air time during the soup, salad and fish courses

This is great example of Stags Leap Cab and would be a screaming bargain at $35 or less. On the nose it has plenty of dried spices and toasty oak. In mouth the fruits with raisiny currant and sour plumbs, typical tobacco wrapped tannins from mountain fruits. Finishes long but still a bit tight. This wine can probably go another 3-4 years before slowing down.
Remember you don't drink the label.

Wonderfull nose of vanilla and cedar leading to a medium bodied palate of raspberries. Finish is long, slightly spicy with smooth tannins. A very nice wine, need to get some more!

Not much for a 90 rated wine. Very tannic which didn't mellow out after pouring; just too bitter. I can't recommend this wine.

Did a 3-hour decant before Christmas dinner of grilled tenderloin. Good wine, not great. But everyone at the dinner table enjoyed seconds and thirds

Found this bottle to be quite hot on the finish and astringent on the palate. Mellowed after several hours out of the bottle.

Licorice, cedar - but nothing exceptional. Doesn't have the stuffing to compete with Bordeaux and lacks the fruit to keep up with better Cali stuff.

Decent layered fruit, fairly interesting finish.

Good typical Cali cab with dark fruit and woody tones, not our style, pass at this price.

Slight TCA. Pencil shavings, cedar, great balance of fruit and acid. Thought it was brett initially. Definite wet cardboard TCA flavors after 2 hours.
