Decanted briefly. This is showing beautifully with delicate acid and well-integrated body. Although I gave it the same rating as last time, this didn't feel like it was missing anything and perhaps the 96 I gave some years ago was a magical window that may not return. Then again, maybe it will. In any case, great wine, great QPR.

Critics and positive TNs totally accurate on this one, 93+ for balance, fruit/toast integration, creamy long finish, and overall deliciousness, made all the more remarkable @ $30 via WL text offer for a slam dunk QPR. Sang with strip steak, glad I have 2 more, wish I had 10...

Drank over two days. Saucy acid and structured tannins dominated the palate, although there was some delicious herbal earth at the beginning. I agree with BRR that this has probably shut down and will re-emerge with more relaxed deliciousness after some time. 94+

Tough to rate right now. Not decanted. This is still tight and relatively unyielding. The nose was the better part right now with pretty red fruit and spice aromas jumping out. The palate was tight and tannic still. My sense is that, knowing Ben's track record with these reds and the vintage conditions, this wine will blossom with another 5 years+. Decant if enjoying today. Good, but not as good as I'm pretty sure it will be.

Monthly Men's Wine Dinner (2120 Restaurant, Seattle): Wow! I pegged this as a young Medoc, with high acid, great balance, and a long finish of dried herbs. I did not know Washington State could make wine this good. Drinking spectacularly right now. Unknown aging potential. My and the group's WOTN.

Still delicious although I keep giving it lower ratings. One bottle left!

Promising, but feels a little young, maybe suffering from bottle shock.
