Deep ruby red in the glass. Great intensity of aromas here - loads of black fruit, oak spice, leather and some jammy red fruit. Dry with high tannins and an acid that highlights the fruit nicely. Everything is in balance here. The wine shows solid depth and a well-knit structure, but could use a bit of length. Nonetheless, a beautiful effort. Drink or keep.

Enjoyable medium bodied Washington Merlot. Dark fruit flavors with a smooth finish with just a hint of an earthy after taste. Nice everyday wine with an average QPR

- Garnet color with medium forming legs. It's unbalanced with a medium body. Narrow texture with a short finish - has a nose of spices and hints of pepper. Nice amount oak. Nice legs. Smooth upon entry, decent body a little short on on the finish. Very drinkable for the price.

A nose of cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Merlot, with blackberry, cherry, vanilla and spice on finish, a very good QPR. www.winelx.com

We are particularly fond of the Horse Heaven Hills, that windswept, and sparsely populated strip of land above the Columbia, about as far as one can imagine from the luxury of Napa. This inexpensive wine has a lot going for it: intense berry notes, some tannins, decent length; okay not complex or massive, but one you could go back to over and over.

I really wish that when someone provides a score for a wine, and no review to say why they scored it low (or high), that cellar tracker would simply not include it in the average. This is an excellent Merlot, which is my favorite grape. It's a good wine, especially for the price (averages around $15 or less), with elegant notes of vanilla, and smoke, and blackberries. The interesting thing about this review is that it's the same wine as this:
Earthy red fruit and black pepper scents. Concentrated texture but the flavors only kick in mid-palate: crème de cassis without all the sugar and a spicy finish. Good merlot character, a bit hot, decent value.

From the dispenser in a local wine shop; the nose, waves of fresh pine wood first, followed by more and more prunes, raspberries, dry pebbles, and a touch of lavender; the palate, fruity and juicy, white cherries, yellow and dark berries, mild spices, and chocolate chips, plus a hint of wet oak; not complex but not plain and simple either; the finish, not long yet still enjoyable, berries, cassises, and licorice; overall, 89-90 points for now; good QPR; may improve in the years to come if oak and pine wood could be resolved well.

A little astringent, pleasant cherry taste. If it were under $10 it'd be getting much bigger ups, but there's so much really great juice in the $10-$15 range ...

Lots of fruit flavors though not jammy or even fruit forward. Finishes very nicely with earth, toast and just a hint of spice. Moderately tannic.

Very good, but a little short and sweet. A tad bit flabby, lacking a little structure. Actually prefer the CC Grand Estates Merlot. 88

There needs to be a way for CT to consolidate reviews, or to recognize the difference in naming.
