Needed red wine for recipe and wound up enjoying a glass with dinner. Pleasurable weekday wine. Full bodied with decent structure and has held up rather well during cellaring.

Dark red and black fruit with peppery spice and an herbal element. The spice and green herbal flavors are more noticeable on the palate than the nose. Decent now, but was much better on release when the fruit was more prominent. It's probably in a low spot in it's evolution (which I'm finding with many Cabs from '10 to '12).

Garnet in color. Flavors of plum and currants. This bottle had the green bell pepper flavor similar to the 2011's. I have drank a few of these and they had always been good for the money. Disliked the vegetal flavor.

Vivino aerated. Rich, dark fruit and soft tannins. Smooth finish. I think this is in a great drinking window right now, as this is definitely the best-tasting bottle we first tried back in Dec.

Really good specimen of napa cab at a low price tag (by danish standards. I noted the list price at the winery, which is above beringers midrange - so in CA it is not priced well). I like this more than beringer napa valley cab, but less than beringers knights valley and it is well below the prices of those (less than half of the Napa Valley cab). Actually it is around the price of Raymond Napa cab, and it is slightly better. My parents noted "wow, how can cabernet sauvignon taste this good, it is usually junk". Probably they only had the type from leftover grapes, overextracted and adjusted with added sugar.

Black fruit aromas of cassis, sandalwood, licorice, vanilla, and Christmas spices. This never feels overdone, it's medium bodied, with a good entry and adequately endowed fruit, tannin, structure, and complexity. It tails off a bit on the finish but has enough heft to avoid coming across as overly simple or linear.

This is full of sweet red fruit nicely balanced by supple tannins that make for an exceptionally smooth, easy drinking young cab. While this is a bit on the simple side, it's drinking extremely well now and represents a great QPR proposition while your more complex 2010s are resting in the cellar. Would buy again.

$20 at Trader Joe's. great mouthfeel and lots of fruit flavor along with licorice. after a couple hours it got a little hot with acid but i'm hoping some time will balance that out. revisit this in the summer.

Massive cherry nose, nice soft mouthfeel with toasty oak around the cherry. I could see someone really disliking this if they don't like strong cherry flavors in their cab, but I don't mind it and I like the overall package. No noticeable heat; alcohol fully integrated. Nice QPR in the low $20s.

Great fruit flavor of blackberries, plums, and dark chocolate on the finish. However, there seems to be too much acidity on the nose and on the finish. We opened it and let it breathe for about two hours but it just didn't open like a typical cabernet. I am not sure if I would buy this again.

The wine is a clear deep purple color with staining legs.
The nose is clean and of medium plus intensity with aromas of blackberry, plum, blackcurrant, boysenberry, cedar/cigar box, sweet tobacco, a very mild bell pepper. This is a youthful wine.
The wine is dry, with high and somewhat harsh tannins, medium plus acidity, high alcohol, and a full body. The palate is of medium plus to full intensity that confirms the nose. This wine needs to breathe for a few hours before drinking, and although it can be enjoyed now, a good five years would really mellow out and integrate this wine. The finish is long and tannic.
This is a very good quality wine and a pretty damn good deal at $20. It's not as smooth and well integrated as some of the higher end Napa Cabs, but will approach them with some more aging.

red in the glass. nose is muted with some dried herb, forest floor and dark red fruit. vanilla, oak, eucalyptus, and cocoa with undefined red fruit. soft tannins and good acidity. medium finish. a solid $20 napa cab, nothing particularly special but not disappointing either. would let this sit another year, may be a little young.

Deep dark berry fruit, but with very good acidity and balance for a relatively big wine. Fragrance and some complexity. Old school classic.

Hadn't drank this in over a year and a half. This was much better than before. A big spicy wine. Really enjoyed it which I hadn't in the past.

Needs decanting or air time. Day 1 it was a bit closed and nothing special. Day 2 presented a waaaay different wine. What you'd expect on day 2.
