- Brick color with fast forming legs and aromas of black currant, fig and cedar. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry, smokey and raspberry with a full body. Round texture with a long finish - Decanted two hours. Showing really well now, at peak or close. Big boisterous Italian nose. Rich tannic finish still very present. This wine can go a lot longer.

Sydney Italian Wine Festival - Nebbiolo Masterclass: Tar and roses, with red licorice and violets - it is quite intense aromatically. The palate is coated with fruit and some tannins come in as backing. Well balanced despite the generosity of flavour. My favourite of the first 6 wines from this class.

The nose keeps morphing, cherry and violets with a good deal of alcohol poking through morphed into darker cherry + alcohol, then maraschino cherries and finally a dried cherry.
An hour decant was not enough and the fruit was obscured by ample fine grained tannins. With more air the wine revealed more pure cherry flavor on the attack that mixed with a bit of sage on the finish. Some licorice and raspberry notes also poke through. The fruit tastes a bit dried, rather than fresh on the finish.
Medium acidity and a bit of a short finish. A good QPR and a candidate for short to mid-term aging. Score represents the wine at the 2.5 hour mark.

Not so big or tannic as the '10, but with good dusty cherry and a sense of musty cellar but not the faulty kind of mustiness. Great, integrated acidity gives a sense of tanginess. Killer food wine.

Quii accesable already and the producer seems to have went easy on oak, which makes it drinkable.

A little young, a little sharp. It's a good wine but I don't know that it will lay down long.
