Plant Robez is a local variety of Gamay (I learned, and got curious about it). Medium-deep ruby, almost purplish. Very youthful looking. Blackberries and dark cherries on the nose - a slight smokiness - aromatic herbs. Fresh, lively, inviting. It has medium body and good freshness. Dark cherries, but in a controlled fashion, and framed in a good structure. Very long. A wine with personality and very, very good. ***
