Very muted out of the bottle, opened up with some air, but still quite tight and restrained. Complex wood grain type tanins dominated for me, and it was only about an hour and a half in that the fruits started to come to the fore. Complex and spicy. Some sediment thrown, and some brown colours emerging, but the tightness of the flavour tells me this might still be short of the peak. Look forward to trying again down the track. Still nice drinking that suited the occasion. 90 for me for now

Quite closed and still youthful. Chocolate, mocha, fresh pipe tobacco, woodsmoke. Dense, sweet, pure. Way too young, really. It will be very good in about 15 years.

Rieslings and Grenaches of North London (Crouch End Cellars): At early maturity, with plenty to enjoy. Abundant primary, ripe red fruit, surprising finesse, supple and showing no heat despite its 14.5% abv. A good advert for the 2011 vintage.

Dark ruby. Very glossy with a real sheen. Flavours of black cherry and herbs and oh so smooth, like liquid teflon. Lovely stuff and drinking really well right now.

This is soft and full-bodied, with pleasant dark berry and herb flavors and some animal or meaty character. The wine definitely has a good quality, although in some other Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines the fruitiness may have a more pure and definite nature. The wine is ready to drink now, so no need to wait.

Loads of red berries with raspberry and cherry on the nose, full bodied wine with a touch of spicy charcuterie. Smooth and silky character. Still too young, with dominant alcohol on the nose and some sharp edges. Will hopefully find more balance in a couple of years.

Monthly Tasting Group EEE #040; Châteauneuf-du-Pape (@ JD): Fruity bouquet with garrigue and some licorice. On the palate juicy, mainly red fruits, garrigue, white pepper, some minerals, good acidity, soft and round tannin and some pleasant bitterness. Really nice and elegant wine.

Ordered at a business dinner where I wanted good quality for price and was not disappointed. On NYC wine list at $105 per bottle which is a bargain there. Drinking well now with a bit in reserve, fine light tannins, ripe but not overdone with good lift. Cherry, spice, well balanced.

To my taste at it's peak. Tannins & spiceness still there although starting to level out a bit.

Full bodied and soft tannins with a medium / long finish. Getting chocolate on the nose and dark fruits on the pallet. Yum!

Mörkt röd färg. Doft av charl, viol, peppar choklad och lakrits. Strävt vin. Frisk syra. Smak av viol och peppar.

Fruits rouges et épices, équilibré et onctueux. Coté kirsh/eau de vie assez marqué. Très bon!

Still a bit young. Well more balanced day 2. Alcohol a bit on the high side. traditional chauteauneuf on the red fruit side.

Ditto other reviews. A lighter style Pape with good acidity, stone and garrique qualities. Not much fruit on the nose.

Agree with Jona - this is fine but underwhelming, bland and unmemorable.
