Bright medium ruby red and a clear translucency with a lovely clean strawberry and cinnamon nose. Sweet grace and elegance, mild acids and light round tannins well-balanced to the berry and cherry fruit set on a base of cola and moist forest floor.
This wine is delightfully well-integrated that is both big (14% alcohol) yet nifty and nimble with matching fresh fruit. Flavors sustain over a lingering bottle with round and happy finish of ripe strawberry and a bit of cranberry suffused with a whiff of cinnamon.

Light-to-medium ruby in color, this Pinot is focused on cherry, cinnamon, cola and loamy earth aromas. The wine is elegant and graceful on the palate, with low-to-medium acidity, light tannins, well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.0%) and flavors which mirror the nose. These same flavors carry on throughout the middle palate and medium-length finish. Alexander Valley Vineyards is known for making "user-friendly" wines at attractive prices. This bottling is no exception. Drink now-2016.

In the glass, the wine is dense violet in color appears to be of medium to full body. On tasting was, however, it was surprising on the light side of medium. There are flavors of sweet strawberry, dark cherry and some cranberry wrapped up in smoke. Nicely balanced with a long finish. This bottle was much better than I remember the one we drank a few months back.

There's lots of promise in this wine but it never quite comes together. A light to medium bodied wine, there are fragrences of strawberry and red fruit. The initial taste includes not only the red fruits but green (under-ripe strawberry) fruit as well. Also lots of heat - foth from the alcohol - 14% ABV - and the peppery taste. After a few hours open, the flavors blend and mellow but remain rough.
