Clunky. Sour and savory, syrupy texture with a short finish. Really reductive nose, lots of stank. Tart raspberry, sour plum, cured meat. The wine seemed put together in an odd way, like bad patchwork, nothing flowed together. It just didn't sit well with me. Drain pour.

(Old note - tasting date not accurate) Very strong nose; Farmhouse; Palate lacking the depth suggested by the nose; Heavy new world; Would have guessed Syrah

This bottle more complex on the nose and palette than I remember versus the first one I sampled half a year ago. Not just your average new world pinot loaded up with cherry fruit here...lots more going on in this bottle that gives depth and character. Dark fruits, earthy tones, a certain astringency initially that softened out an hour or so post opening. Heavy for pinot, quite a thick compote with a medium finish. Very interesting and tasty.

A yummy bowl of cherries! Sweet, round cherry fruit with a bit of effervescence, quite full and lush for pinot, long finish with secondary herbal flavours. Very enjoyable wine.

Unscrewed and followed for a few hours. Very slight spritz. Quite a pungent nose of strawberries, black cherries, wet earth, smoke, greens, slightly decaying vegetation, raw button mushrooms with a little peat, and spice. Cranberry, red cherry, bitter cherry pit, spice, and earth on the palate. Tart acidity, lightly grippy tannins, medium+ finish, good focus. A bit light on the mid-palate. This wine is *really* pushing the earthy side, and I'm not getting a lot of pleasure from it (other than looking at the label). It does grow on you though, and I can appreciate that it's very well made.

Drinking beautifully, rich and smooth red fruit, silky texture. Not overly complex but just so damned nice.

Littorai, Burn Cottage and Evesham Wood tasting (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street): An interesting phosphor and green stalk nose that is very expressive, despite it's young age. The palette is savoury and full of interesting, spicy acid.
