  • Aroma de especiarias, pimenta do reino, tabaco, couro, mentol. Na boca complexo, picante, noz moscada, taninos finos, final persistente. Excelente.

  • prior note is correct - this needs lots of air. Otherwise the first whiff upon opening and pour from bottle is an atrocious smell and smelled like a TCA party. Tons of barnyard funk and vegetal smells. 90min decant and it improved very well. After almost 2hrs there was nice harmony fruit, earth, wood black olives and acidity on the finish. But to the prior note, this is not a $30+ wine. Maybe it will show that potential by aging in bottle but caveat emptor to the impatient (and if you are, use a decanter for some time).

  • Night - 1.. PNP Pretty disappointing and possibly lightly corked but not 100% sure of that. Lean and austere with very little going on. No fun. Just the faintest hint of must on the nose. I'll try again tomorrow. Flawed? Can't be sure. I won't buy more though either. 5 days later, I had forgot I hung onto to this to make sure it was corked and, to my surprise, 5 whole days later it shows zero signs of being corked and is drinking better, not awesome, but.. better. A little more flesh on the bones then on Saturday night Probably held up because over 2/3 of the btl was left and I had re-corked it quickly that night. Still, that said it drinks like a $12 wine I paid $30 for. Upgraded my score to 86. If you try one either wait another year or 3 or give it more air than I did.
