My last bottle and it was great. Absolutely loved this and wish I had a couple more bottles. It has developed so well in bottle. The fruit has evolved nicely without any fading. There is obvious oak that adds structure, and the finish remains long. No need to drink up if you have a bottle or two, but definitely worth saving for a good meal.

Lake's Folly mini vertical. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of flint, integrated butterscotch, roasted nuts, lemon curd. Developed. On the palate, dry, medium+ acdity, medium alcohol (135), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of integrated sweet cream oak, butterscotch underlying, ripe citrus lemon curd, ripe yellow peach. Long finish. Very good quality. Nice wholesome mealy mouth-feel with nuttiness. Lovely drinking at peak. Good expression of balanced ripe oaked Chard.

Drunk whilst recovering from a cold (probably not wise). Still green-gold at 5 years. Peach and nectarine on the nose. In the mouth very high acid, creamy oak, tangy citrus notes, light to medium bodied. Feels as if it needs a few more years to really blossom. Consider 2019 onwards.

Excellent. 13% alc. Classic. Colour: light very bright gold Bouquet: rock melon and white peach, vanilla Palate: as bouquet, great body and balance, long clean acid finish. Rich but elegant and great aging potential. May 2017

Young and fresh with lots of acidity. Good fruit definition with balanced oak that adds to the structure of the wine. Very nice but too young to drink now. Needs more time.

Hunter Valley Visit 2013; 4/26/2013-4/29/2013 (Hunter Valley, Australia): Spicy, nutty and oats with some pear aromas. The palate is powerful, with good mouthfeel and nice balancing acidity. There is oak present but I found it quite restrained. I liked it, but couldn't justify buying this vintage at the asking price.

tart citrus notes to the fore, the acidity is quite sharp. Needs time.
