From bottles bought directly at the winery at release, well stored in my cellar. Eileen's pending visit to Lede inspired the opening of a few Lede wines this evening. Nicely chilled, PnP, drank over an hour.
From prior notes: "Pale color. Crisp and fragrant nose of citrus, melon, grapefruit. Palate was pear, citrus, grapefruit, lemon zest, crushed rock. Medium finish. Very nice, lacked some of the back palate texture you get from CA Sauvignon Blanc..."
This bottle did a bit better, everyone picked up the creamy mid palate, crisp minerality and citrus. Everything working well with this wine at this point...drink over next 2-3 years...

At home with John/Valerie post dinner...been a couple years since I visited this wine. Purchased at the winery

Nice palate cleanser - good as an aperitif, with seafood or veggies

Pale straw color. Peach and a bit of grapefruit on the palate. This is the oldest of three vintages of this wine in my cellar. Interestingly, first impression upon opening was that there had been some diminution due to age. Missing was the bright, lemony, citrus note evident with younger vintages. However as this opened some of the lemon revealed itself although in a mellower fashion. Certainly this was not past prime but it is interesting to note the changes with time of this (for us) go to Sauvignon Blanc.

Very enjoyable. Better than last bottle. Much more fragrant and open. Very crisp, nice fruit. Scents and taste of pineapple and pear. Really good with the grilled glazed Berkshire pork chops we had. Happy 4th of July!!

This is typically a summer staple for us. This bottle was a bit indistinct. We favor grapefruit and lemon zest flavors typical of Lede. In this case, the fruit was muted but some acidity remained. This bottle favored the more mineral notes of of some Loire wines. Not quite what we expected but still refreshing.

I usually drink these the summer after release, which I think is best. I just got the '13s, but found this and opened it last night. Very nice, round citrus flavors with some grassy notes. Even one year of cellar time has mellowed the refreshing acidity and spice that I really like about these wines, and given it more body.

Outstanding but edgy for a certain serious kind of SB drinker. A big wine but the power comes more from oak than fruit, which carries an almost-savage level of grassiness and grapefruit rind with tarragon and a pleasing quinine-like bitterness. Do not serve to beginners!

This wine is California Sauvignon Blanc the way I like it. There is body and power from the oak, but demonstrates real restraint, giving excellent balance to fruit. Mouthfeel provides for earth/stone but thicker, almost like Semillon. Very nice.

Drank over the course of two nights. First night not quite as good as I remember at the winery. I recall crisp and clean with green apple and nice acidity. This had nice acidity but not as bright as I recall. If possible for a Sav Blanc, a little overpowering. Had this shut down? Second night was better. More balance. Nicer fruit coming through. I'm curious to see how the other bottle I have drinks.

This is Sauv blanc done in a Chardonnay style. The nose is peach and apricot, the palate is creamy notes of peach, tangerine, apple and butter. It is a giant at nearly 15% ABV and can be a bit hot, although its well integrated, and hard to pair with food like many blown out chardonnays.
I like it for under $25 and I find value here. You need to like huge, fruit driven Chardonnay to dig this Sauv Blanc I think.

Chard like in body and taste. Massively alcoholic for a white wine, 14.7%, feel the burn when sipping. I prefer a Sancerre any day. just not food friendly.

Pale golden straw
Light pear, citrus aromas
Balanced acidity
Losing its verve a bit, I’d drink up
Holding on I suppose, but just

If you like this style, you may love it, but it has strong palate cleansing and finishes with bitterness of grapefruit rind.

Much prefer a Sancerre from the Loire valley. Creamy, almost chardonnay like although more citrusy.
