Drinking nicely, did not fade like the last bottle I’ve had. It has a predominant Napa fruit flavor, but muted by the age. I don’t think there is enough structure to make this age much further unfortunately.

The first glass was very good with some great typical Napa fruit and a good balance of oak, but the fruit faded fast. This wine is unfortunately already on the decline. Drink soon and drink fast as it got flabby and boring after an hour. Do not devant.

Medium dark purple. Despite 14.8% abv, I thought this was well balanced and structured without being jammy. Lots of blackberry fruit, cassis and a touch of dark chocolate. Drink now - 2022.

1st and i guess only, very surprised by the imbalance of fruit and oak... zero fruit showing. All vanilla, must be from poor barrel integration. Dont know.. sad disappointment. ;-( maybe needs to open or decant for a day, but we on holiday and dont have this time. Owner is a jerk i hear anyway, winemaker, though, i hear, is a great guy.

1.5 hour decant. Blackberry and cherry fruit with a bit of black olive and tar. Just enough tannins to give it structure. Good now but I think this may continue to improve in the near term.

I had this wine about a year and a half ago and rated it an 89. Consistent with my previous note, it is a balanced easy drinking wine at a good price but I think it has improved a fair bit from last year and is really beginning to hit its stride.

I really liked the dark berry fruit in this wine so typical of Cabs from the Mayacamas Mtns. Very pleasant drinking. Tannins were soft but enough to keep wine interesting.

Tend to agree with the other notes. Dark, blue fruits, and some cherry. Olive, and some eucalyptus. More herbal than I originally remember. Deep dark color. Some floral on the nose. Consumed this over 3-4 nights with no decant and no shake, and it changed very little, really held solid and constant. Drinking well now, but could use some more age. Went with a variety of foods over those nights, but is good on its own as well.

Decanted for about 45 minutes, then drank over the course of 2 hours. Aroma had some eucalyptus and blackberry fruit to it. A little bit of tar in there, too. It is a pretty straightforward taste on the palate with the dark fruit. Definitely enjoyable, but it makes me wonder how long this will really last.

Family Winemakers. Nose of mountain fruit, intense cherry and spice with a touch of earth, more of the same on the palate, tasty, distinctive, medium body and medium/long finish.

PnP. Beautiful aroma of cherry. Palate is full and deep with dark berry and cherry. I think it has plenty of time left.

good fruit flavor, balanced, easy drinker, reasonably priced at $59, a sort of middling cabernet. RP 88, WS 87, HD 89.

Pinot Days 2014 (Navy Pier - Chicago, IL): Olive, blue fruit. Complex and layered. Rich but still vibrant with focus and freshness in the finish.

Taste at FHE.
Olive, super ripe blue and black fruit. Purple flowers and strong spice. Gorgeous and well endowed. Lots of fruit. Rich and young.

This is a dark cab. Thick and chewy. Some mocha? After 2 hours, this was a really smooth and delicious (enjoyable) wine.

Sojourn Wine Dinner with Craig H. in Mckinney Texas (Rick's Chophouse, Mckinney Texas): Opaque dark garnet in the glass. Tasted alongside the 2010 Beckstoffer this is more red currant oriented and generally more fruit driven (and or perhaps a bit less "serious"). Medium-full bodied with a touch of bay/herb on the palate. Pretty good. 91-92.
