Just a good quality Napa wine at a very reasonable price ... you won't be amazed by it, but neither will you find it offensive in any way. It's just good drinking.

Considering the range of Bordeaux blends produced this side of the Atlantic, this isn't a bad effort. It's excessively oaked (they say 20 months) and overripe, but so are a lot of these wines. If you like this style, it's a decent buy for $13, but I expect many will find the fruit and oak a little too sweet and overdone.

Confusingly the 750 ml version is from a different producer than the otherwise identically labelled magnum. The 750 is 30% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc, 16% Malbec, 8% Petit Verdot. 20 months in barrels.
The 750 is very good though not especially memorable. Good body, moderate tannins, oak, red fruit, and vanilla.

Definitely pretty damn delicious....like a napa blend should be, but at a far far lower price.

A truly outstanding wine from Trader Joe's. (bottled by JBA cellars?)

I can't believe this wine for $13. I'm going to load up on this for weekday dinners.
