Pale garnet with developed, medium intensity aromas of grape jelly, black plum, black cherry, blueberry compote, clove, and cedar. It is dry, with high acid, medium minus and very rounded tannins, medium plus alcohol, and medium plus bodied with flavors of stewed plum, black cherry, cinnamon, bitter chocolate, cocoa nib, and menthol which linger for a long finish.
good; drink now not suitable for more aging

Excellent! Some bricking. Still nice cherry fruit and food-friendly acidity. Bottles continued to improve with age but probably at peak. Sad this was the last one from the case.

Still young right now, I think. I will give at least another 1-2 years before trying another. Right now, this needs at least 1 hour decant, preferably 2, to start opening up. When it does, it is a light style but I get the classic tarry undertones and floral notes. Seems classic but not a powerhouse. It was very good with Italian fare. Could possibly improve in score with age.

Smells and tastes like the feminine side of Nebbiolo, but it is dilute and lacks any grip or structure. Gets tiresome to drink very quickly, which for me is really unusual. This is the kind of wine Rimmerman usually hits for me, but this is a big miss. I've had two bottles now, several months apart and didn't like either.

Like the comments of others of the CTC on this wine, I give it a strong 91 pts. As others said, great QPR. A true example of the nebbiolo grape at an affordable price. Coincidentally, I read Asimov's essay about this wine in today's NY Times and I even picked up the "tar" notes. Read the essay: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/04/dining/wine-school-langhe-nebbiolo-tasting-notes.html?ref=dining&_r=0

The color is light red, somewhat like a Pinot Noir but a little more brick color. The nose is just like a fine Barolo - amazing floral rose notes with some vegatal undertones. Initial palate is completely different from an aged Barolo, but in a good youthful and lively way. Very little tannins, but some good acitdity. It starts to bring in some fresh red fruit flavors along with the floral notes. Finishes quickly, but this is a great wine and perfectly represents what you expect from the grape and style.

A great QPR. Brick red color; nose of cherry and a hint of spice. Dark cherry, some red fruit, and floral notes. Nicely balanced; long finish; has some more life and could go a few years.

Love this for what it is--a young, fresh and very fruity Nebbiolo, not harsh at all. Bought a case and slowly working our way through them. I love Nebbiolo and the wife likes wines that are "smooth" and fruity to her taste. This one hits the spot.

I feel as if my knowledge of Nebbiolo up to this point has been a fraud. There was a freshness and fruit forward quality to this wine that showed me possibilities I hadn't tasted before. Really something extraordinary.

Brick maroon going to pink at the edge, medium viscosity. Aromas of cedar, dark cherries, crushed violets. On the palate: dark cherries, red fruit, vanilla, with well integrated acids; characteristic grip emerges in mid-palate, but relatively subdued for a Nebbiolo; medium plus weight in the mouth. Long finish, with floral and cherry flavors lingering on and on retronasally. Stood up well against a rich pork belly and roasted beets. Great purity of expression without being at all one-dimensional. An attractive, well-balanced package with good typicity and style.

For a Piemonte table wine, this really has some potential. We probably should have had this with our meal, not after. I think most Italian wines are made for food and you do them a disservice by not having them with supper. This particular wine has some pretty powerful tannins but some really nice fruit and earth poking through. It's a keeper.

This wine continues to be an amazing QPR. I wish the 2010s were as good, but they are not even close.

This may be the best wine offered by Garagiste in terms of QPR. Thankfully I still have 3 bottles left to see how this evolves.

Nice easy to drink young nebbiolo. Dark red fruit, round full tannins and a lingering finish where fresh acidity joins in. Very good with our meal.
